Clean, and accurate EICO model 628 tube tester with the attractive brushed aluminum ... morepanel from my collection. The EICO 628 was the successor to the very popular model 625. With sockets added to test the newer tubes that were becoming available. In addition to the usual octal, loctal, 7& 9-pin miniature sockets, Eico added 5& 7-pin nuvistor sockets, novar and compactron sockets, plus 7& 9-pin pin straighteners. The 9-pin socket is actually a combination 9& 10-pin miniature socket. The 628 also has a vastly improved roll chart. The old 4. 5, 6& 7-pin sockets are gone to make room for the new ones. But the older tubes can still be tested. In fact, the data is still on the roll chart and in the tube data manual(included) All it takes is a simple adapter you can make for yourself from an old 8-pin tube base and the socket of your choice. The EICO series of test instruments were intended for professional use. And were marketed mostly to radio and TV repairmen through the local electronic parts dealerships, and their construction shows it. The professional looking brushed aluminum panel was designed to inspire confidence in the customer who saw it, and the heavy steel case of this instrument was intended to protect it well. The circuit was licensed from Triplett and is the same as the Triplett 3413. Heath and Knight also licensed the circuit and produced it as the Heathkit models TC-x and IT-xx. Knight testers are known as the KG-600 series. The test data for all of these tube testers is generally interchangeable. As can be seen from the tag on power cord and the"Tested" stamp on the inside of the case, this is a factory wired instrument- perhaps important if you want to be sure it was done correctly. VINTAGE HICKOK TUBE TESTER MODEL T-53 T53 VACUUM RADIO TV TELEVISION
This auction is for a Vintage Hickok Tube Tester T-53. With no reserve. The tester shows some wear and can be seen in the twelve(12) pictures below. The tester is sold as is and I do not know if it works properly or not. When it is plugged in and it is turned on, the light of the meter goes on. When the Line Adjustment knob is moved the light for the meter goes dimmer and brighter. When the line test button is pushed, the meter goes to a little over 1500. When the roller is turned the chart moves from Stop to Stop. I see no light for the chart. The coating for the red wire has some breaks in the coating. Clean Mint- Sencore CRT Tester. CR 143 Champion Cathode Ray Tube Testing Television TV Radio] This tester us complete. It has the adapter with the 5 different connectors. The AC plug is flexible like new. The interior is very clean. All the switches. Dials, buttons are present; they are all in Near Mint condition. They fit tight and seem like they have had very little use. The exterior is also Near Mint. All hardware and metal emblem are firmly attached. This was extremely well cared for. The only real issue is a rectangular(1” X 5” area on the front that has a dull look to the finish. It looks like it may be residue from a sticker. I did not try to remove it. I will leave this for the new owner. The rubber stand on the bottom of the tester are all intact and in very good condition. Three of the rubber stands on the back are missing, one ... moreis intact. I have no way to test this tester. But judging from the condition, it probably works fine. Sold As Is No Returns.

PHILCO RADIO & TELEVISION CORP. TUBE TESTER Cir. 1937 WOOD CASE
For bid one(1) Philco Radio& Television Corp. tube tester. I replaced control#2 potentiometer with a new type so it is probably not an exact replacement. However the one I removed comes with the tube tester. The instructions say to rotate the“Line Regulator” knob in a clockwise direction from the off position until the shadow-meter arrow is on the“Red Line” of screen. There is no shadow so for the test I set it at 5. The wood has been stripped and has a linseed finish(I wish I had left it original) The cover is missing 3 of the 12 screws holding it in place. The original handle comes with it but it is very poor condition. I tested a number 41 tube on my I-177-B tube tester and then this tester and it seemed to work(see the pictures) However this just means that it didn’t catch on fire. I do not guarantee that this tube tester works correctly. ... moreThe only tube inside is a 25Z5 and tested excellent on my I-177-B tester. Inside the lid is a small plate and says Serial No. 10791. Has original power cord that is in flexible good condition. Comes with 3 stiff cards attached to the access lid where the power cord is stored. The top of the first card covers the operation. Followed by 4 more pages of tube settings. The back of the 3 card is blank. Looks like around 200 tube settings in total. A much simpler time! NOTE: Only the old Philco is for sale.
