We have tested the microphone on acoustic guitar as well as for a drum room mic with the plexiglass stand. We also put it inside a kick drum on a pillow type damper with good results. This is what created a buzz about this mic years ago that it was great for inside the kick drum. Each time we used the 1/4" mic output into a Countryman active direct box to boost the level and change the impedence to what our mic-pre's like to see with XLR inputs. I replaced these with smaller Mirage Nanostats. They are smaller and the wife likes better. I spent the day comparing all these speakers to be sure they were all matched or had a balanced stereo image.no weak tweeters) I set them all side by side comparing and testing all of them. No weak tweeters here.The replacement tweeters for these guys are $100 a pair on Ebay alone! These speakers are perfect just as good as when brand new. If you are 60 years old and owned as many quality stereo systems as I have, you should understand why I personally tested them to be sure I didn't sell someone something with a weak tweeter or anything else wrong ... morethat I hadn't noticed yet when I replaced them. I am expecting top dollar for these since they are all a perfectly matched set of six. You could buy 3 pairs LX5 or LX5II's, find the center(very hard to find with a Linaeum tweeter and matching woofers) The two LX5's are 50 RMS watt as compared to 65 RMS four LX5II. They sound identical though. The tweeters are also the same in both models the LX5 and the LX5II. Also, I marked all my tweeters and woofers on each speaker. If they are returned then they best come back all original without someone having tampered or changed out any parts, meaning any woofers or tweeters. Buyer has two days to pay, paypal only. After two days of no payment initiated by buyer, I cancel sale and relist. Obviously the buyer pays shipping both ways on a return.
