This is a Sencore Continental II vacuum tube tester Model MU150 up for grabs. I have decided to get the Amplitrex tube tester instead for my new growing business. This is being sold as is and you will notice 2 stickers on it from the PLC center from whom I purchased it from last month. Yes this does power up and work. Sencore MU150 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester (For Parts/Repair)
SENCORE M TUBE TESTER(FOR PARTS/REPAIR) Sold as parts/repair unit- no refunds. This was near the top of the line(if not THE top of the line) tube tester in the Sencore line. Produced in the 1960's I believe. When fully working, this model is capable of testing for dynamic mutual conductance, emissions, shorts, life test, and grid leakage. Good physical condition. With some signs of rust on metal/chrome band that goes around the case. Handle/latches work fine. Unit weighs about 22lbs by itself. Opened up the unit to take a picture of internals for potential buyers. Saw one resistor(upper left in photo) that appeared to have some signs of overheating. And one of the tubes(upper one in picture) appears to have some white residue inside(not sure if that's normal or sign of a bad tube) Shipping charge is set for cross-country charge. It's ... morenot my desire to make money on shipping. So if actual shipping turns out to be $5 cheaper than the $36 charge. I'll refund the difference.

This is one of the most sought after of all tube testers and was considered the industry standard during its day. The MU150 Continental will detect even the slightest of problems in a tube. It can make four independent tests on a tube: Dynamic mutual conductance test. Full load cathode current test, a high sensitivity grid leakage test, and the famous Sencore Mightly Mite"Stethoscopic Shorts Test" It will test almost 3000 tubes, more than most other testers, including laboratory type. I tested several tubes that I had and the tester worked perfectly. Cosmetically, the outside of the tester does have some light scuffs and scratches here and there but the inside is clean. Vintage Sencore MU150 Continental II vacuum tube tester
Vintage Sencore MU150 Continental II vacuum tube tester. Unit is in good condition consider its age. We did use it to test a tube. You can see some of the readings in the pictures. The meter zero potentiometer seems to be a little dirty. It jumps around a little when you use it but you can zero out the meter with it. The feet that would set on the ground when the case are open are not in very good shape and or missing. See last picture. Over all unit is clean and would be a nice addition to your work shop. Tube sockets have all been cleaned. Tests accurately. The unit itself has some small bumps and bruises as seen in the photos. I currently own 3 testers and no longer use this one. Comes with original tube chart booklet.

Vintage Sencore mu150 dynamic mutual conductance tube tester. Continental ll. We did test it with a tube 6hb5 and it showed that it was bad. It lit up some but showed about 20 on the bad gauge. As for anything else I am no expert on this item. The unit looks to be in nice shape with some scratches and wear. Comes with the Continental mutual tube analyzer book also. Sencore Continental 2 (MU150) Dynamic Mutual Conductance tube tester
Sencore Continental 2(MU150) Dynamic Mutual Conductance tube tester works great and shows little signs of use. Original set-up book shows no wear at all and all sockets are original and all are good and tight. The MU150 is an unusual tube tester because it can measure the emission strength of the tube under test and also the Mutual Conductance(Gm) plus it has all the great features of other Sencore testers like super sensitive Grid Leakage Detection. Life Test, and Shorts Test! A few notes about how this tester works.besides giving a"Good" Bad" and" reading it also has a number scale which represents the% of the emission or Gm associated with the tube under test. Another important note is that the Shorts, Grid Leakage& Life tests are performed in the Emission Test mode and the Mutual Conductance(Gm) requires different ... moresettings just for it. To get the tester in top shape all the controls and switches were cleaned, all the electrolytic capacitors were replaced and the internal voltage regulator& meter amplifier tubes were tested. Calibration was performed and all test functions were verified to be working. Other included items will be the original instruction manual& quality assurance pamphlet.
