Up for auction is a VINTAGE SUPERIOR INSTRUMENT CO. MODEL TD-55 TUBE TESTER w/ CHARTS. CASE& MANUAL. This tester looks to be in good condition. When I plug it in and turn it on, I can hear a slight humming sound and the needle bounces a bit. That is all the testing that was done as that is all I know how to do. The plastic covering over the meter is a bit hazy but you can still read through it. All of the knobs, switches and dials are present and move as they should. There is also a vinyl carry case, an operating instruction manual, a tube tester trouble finder chart and a tube chart dated April 1957. Please ask any questions before bidding and good luck!

B&K Model 700 Tube Tester w/ Manual, 131 Tubes, and a quik-chek troublefinder!
B&K Model 700 Tube Tester. This is used to test various tubes. There is also an Instruction guide that tells you what to set each knob at for different types of tubes. I am not 100% sure if the whole manual is there as it is old, but there are 11 pages in the manual front and back on each page covers a lot of tubes. As for the tester itself I plugged it in and turned it on, the red light came on that indicated it was getting power, also on the right the yellow light came on indicating it is ready to test. I have a ton of tubes that were with this so I plugged one in and followed the directions, it lit up as you can see in the photos the tube lit up, so the heater and sensitivity work, I hit the test button and the meter barely moved, but the meter does work obviously if it moved when I hit test. As for the rest of it I do not know how ... moreor what it does. I buy storage auctions and all of this was in the unit. The case on the outside of the tester seems to be in pretty good shape for its age it has normal wear and tear but it is not bad by any means, the hinges on the case hold the case together but the lid will fall off if it slides out of the hinges. Also one of the knobs on the bottom row is missing. That covers the tester next I will discuss the tubes. Tubes- There are 130ish tubes maybe a few more or a few less but it is somewhere in that area doing a quick count. That is including the red thing with the wire you see in the pics I have no clue what that is, as well as various other random nontube items. I would say there are 120 tubes and then 10 other misc. items that are not tubes but are related to the tubes, I guess they are capacitors or something I am not sure im not an expert. All of the tubes are untested, I do not know if you can use them or not, most of them are out of the box except the ones you see in the cigar box they are in the box but I dont know if they are any good or not you will have to test them all yourself. I tested 12ax7 tube and result was close to my calibrated Jackson 648S tester. Manual& wires pictured are included. However. I never got a chance(time) to go thru with any major check up. 800x600 This is a model 539C transconductance tube tester made by Hickok. It is in very good to excellent condition. I tested some tubes on this and it appears to work fine. Notice the EL34. 6L6G, and 12AX7, tube under a test. Includes grid/ plate clip lead, and original manual with tube setting data. Serial number is 29200870. The case is in good condition with a few scuffmarks. Front panel looks very good and has only a few scratches. I cannot guarantee this unit is calibrated, and will probably need some calibration, due to age. All meters and switches work. It comes with several parts that plug into one another. One is called a color gun with red, green and blue and you turn the dial to the desired color. Guessing that is for the color tubes? There is another gadget that plugs into that and the side of the bakelite is broken but wires are intact. It appears to reduce down to a smaller tube size, guessing that is B&W? Vintage Hickok Model 600A Tube Tester w Instructions Manual w Roll Chart
This is a great estate find from upstate NY. It is a Hickok model 600A tube tester. It has the instruction manual and a roll chart. I don't have any tubes to test nor do I know anything about tube testers. I cannot verify the working condition of this tester because of my lack of knowledge. I do know that the light(as seen in the photo) does turn on although it does flicker very faintly. The chord is a little stiff and there are a couple rips in the rubber towards the plug. It measures 17" wide. 11" deep and 8" tall and is in a hard case that snaps closed. There is some wear to the red case, such as spots where the bare wood is showing through and one of the metal feet has pushed through the wood case.
