I have tested a lot of different electron tubes on it. I have not used all the different docks/ ports on the unit but most. All the buttons. Switches& knobs work exactly as they should. This is a nice clean unit and it comes with a photo copy MANUAL and 30+ pages of EXTRA TUBE DATA WITH INSTRUCTIONS on how to test them for the Jackson 715. The copies are what was sent to the owners of these testers for upgrade tube information. The onboard reel offers 100's of different tubes as well. There is even a pic of the inside of the unit. It does have a calibration potentiometer for the mains voltage and it has been calibrated. And some old resistors and capacitors replaced to ensure to be trouble free for years to come and can test almost every tube type. A 5R4 is being tested in the pictures for quality and filament continuity on both sections. The tester also has a noise test that uses a regular headphone jack(1/4 inch) and it works as well. That any tube is tested in the diode mode. It is a way to go, and I have found some that are working amazingly well, like for instance the Superior Instruments TV10 or TV11. They look so old fashioned, you would not give much for it. However they have all modern sockets, even a subminiature socket. They have a quite complete roll chart, plus a calibration potentiometer for the mains voltage. The rectifier for the meter is a tube with the TV10, and solid state for the TV11. It means you have to pay some attention to the TV10's and TV11 rectifier circuit, which measures the mains voltage. This is an emissions-type tester. So it doesn't test for mutual conductance. It comes with the original users manual(not pictured) and tube-data update booklets. Eico 667 Tube And Transistor Testor With Manual and Tube Data
This is for a very nice Eico 667 tube and transistor tester. Will test all modern tubes including both sides of amplifier tubes such as 12AX7 and more. Comes with a re printed operation manual including schematic and parts list. And a supplemental tube data manual. Tester powers up. Roll chart works well, all switches and knobs work well. Tried testing a tube and tester is either not functioning completely or I don't know how to test tubes on this unit correctly. When I try to test a tube for Merit I get an odd reading when I move the merit switch to test. So this is being sold as is as far as function goes. Steel case is in exceptional condition as well as overall cosmetic condition of this tester. Will be packed securely for shipment.
