I have no way of testing this meter. I plugged it in and selected the line ajustment. If you look at the last 2 pictures the needle moves when you turn the load knob. Other than that I have no way of testing this unit to make sure that it is operational as intended. I will be selling this item as is. It is made in the USA by Superior Intrument Company New York. It's still decent except the back of the case has some of the covering completely worn off(see photo) The tube tester turns on but I haven't tested it beyond seeing if it powers up. Hickok 550X tube tester. Is overall clean and in good condition. There is some wear to the case covering(see photos) but still in pretty decent shape. The leather handle has some wear but still seems solid. This does power on and I tried a few of the functions and it seems like it all works well but I don't have the equipment to fully test the functions. Up for sale is a very early Hickok model AC 47 mutual conductance tube tester with Hickok Multiplex socket adapter. In green velvet padded carrying case with leather handle. This was Hickok's 5th model of tube tester introduced in 1930, and is in real nice cosmetic condition, though please note that due to the age of this Hickok tester I have not plugged it in, so working condition is unknown and am selling as-is and as-found, due to being 80+ years old I'm sure some component testing should be done before powering up. Please refer to photos, this AC 47 is in great shape with only very light wear, the Hickok name plate looks great, meter windows excellent, no cracks or chips to top panel or bakelite chassis enclosure(note that top panel is ingraved with'MSOE' the original cloth covered twisted-pair AC power cord is not frayed ... moreor broken, Insides are also very nice, no obviously burned or broken components, no loose wires or any other damage, the Multiplex socket adapter also very nice. Up for bid is an antique Weston Electrical Instrument Corp. tube tester/analyzer. Model 547 No. 24949. I found this tester at an estate sale and it had previously been owned by a collector. I believe the tester is from the late 1920's. I cannot check exactly how the tester is supposed to work. Because it did not come with any sort of manual. However, I have checked each of the gauges individually, and each of them works properly. All of the internal electrical parts look to be original to me. Though one of the push buttons seems to have been replaced at some point. The tube tester requires a 3 volt battery, and I don't know if the battery holder is original, but it looks to be. The switches and knobs all move freely and the cord looks to be in good shape considering how old it is. Overall. It is in great condition for it's age. ... moreThe tester comes in a black bakelite case. The case is slightly chipped and scratched(see the pictures) The case has a leather handle. Which is very sturdy, though it seems to have been repaired at some point. The clasps on the case are all solid and close tightly. The case is missing one of it's legs though. The tester is 12.5" by 9.25" by 4" I've described the item to the best of my ability and have taken a lot of pictures of it. The pictures are an important part of the description. And everything is as it appears in the pictures. The item is being sold as is( for parts or repair) because of it's age and no returns will be accepted.

Knight Tube Tester in Good Working Condition - For Testing Antique Radio Tubes
This listing is for a working Knight tube tester. I have used similar tube testers since the 1950s and like them because they are easy to use. Able to test most tube types, and seem to provide a good"GO/NO GO" indication with minimum effort. This particular tester appears to be from the 1950s. But has been upgraded to test tubes made in the 1960s. It has a newer roll chart that moves smoothly, sockets for newer tubes, and a"socket saver" installed to ensure that good connections can be made when testing 7-pin miniature tubes. I tested a tube to verify its operation. And the results agreed with those I received from the Knight tester I use regularly. I also used a voltmeter to verify that all of the settings on the filament voltage switch work as they should. The meter movement is excellent. It zeros well, adjusts properly ... moreto center for use, and has just the right amount of damping to be pleasant to use. The lights illuminating the roll chart also work as they should. The fine item you are considering is an Antique Vintage Sylvania Vacuum Tube Tester Weston Model 678. I have lots of photos below. So be sure to scroll down to the bottom of this page to take a better look. This neat vintage tube tester has a great plaque on the front which reads“Sylvania Tester“ and there‘s also a sheet of old paper tacked on the back which would seem to indicate that it‘s a Weston Model 678. The tester, which measures approximately 17” by 15 ½” looks to me to date to the 1920’s or 1930’s, with a large center meter and an all wood case. The tester is in pretty remarkable, very well cared for, overall condition, but it does have a few issues, these being that one corner of the plastic front tube panel is chipped off(see photos) and the power plug is very old and a bit smashed. Because of the condition and age of the ... moreplug, I’m not going to try to plug the unit in, so I’m selling it“as is” and as a collectable, and not as a working tube tester, but as far as I know, it may work fine once you get the plug issue straightened out.
