Trout Underground desktop available

By Tom Chandler 7/12/2006

Just so the beauty of the Upper Sacramento doesn't escape you while you're staring at that glass box on your desk, I've thrown together a desktop-sized version of the Underground's recent Mossbrae Falls picture. This is in 1024 x 768 format (1280 x 1024 available), and includes the logo.

Simply click the image below, and the full-sized version should appear.

Click here for the 1024 x 768 version. Click here for the 1280 x 1024 version. It's a little hefty (650K), but for most, it will appear in seconds. If you pine for the river but can't be there, then great - it's yet another way the Trout Underground can make your life a little more painful... See you at your monitor, Tom Chandler.

Reels: Those falls are there year-round in the town of Dunsmuir (they're not falls actually, more a spring that reaches the surface on a bluff in the river).

Honestly, all i can say is wow. I opened up the 1280 x 1024 picture and it is simply amazing. It must have been fantastic to have been somewhere like that. To see mother nature at her finest. You just do not get to see scenes like that very often anymore. I cannot imagine what that was like for you to have been there. "If you pine for the river but can't be there, then great - it's yet another way ... more the Trout Underground can make your life a little more painful… See you at your monitor, Tom Chandler." That is as cold of a statement as i have read in a very long time. ;)

Welcome Gus. And Dave, I bring a thing of beauty into this world, and you compare it to excrement. Reminds me of my first interview for a photojournalism job... The Wonderdog continues to live his life of unmitigated joy, but has lately escaped the lens. Perhaps it's time for another Wally entry...

That kinda looks like a green rug hanging from my clothes-line due to my 17 year-old incontinent dog. Okay, to be fair, I don't have any rugs that color and the water dripping off is not so clear... Which brings to mind the fact that you've not posted any recent photos of the wonder-dog. Pretty cool image, though. - Dave
