Large, Cable Plow, Vermeer, RT 950, 2011, with Backhoe, 99 HP cummins, 348 hrs
this plow is like bran new. Almost no paint damage, the only sign of age is some fade to the hood and top. not sure of year, can give you numbers to research, was told it was 2011, it was owned by a small telephone co. that put less than 300 hrs on it. we bought it to install 1600 feet of 2 inch fiber conduit for one of the Honda facilities thinking we would have more work for it. we directional drill and have not found work for the plow so list it in regret. It is a awesome machine. we pulled the 1600 feet of 2 inch conduit in 30 inches deep for the Honda job. they wanted pull boxes every 400 feet so we pulled 400 feet at a time. we have 4 different blades for the plow. The deepest being a 42 inch cover blade. we did not have a use for the 42" blade yet but have dropped it in the ground all the way and could run as fast as the" ... morecreep" will go, very impressive. I will say this. It is ALL about traction. need dry ground. the 1600 ft we did was on very frozen grass and we did need to assist pull with our 4 x 4 flat bed truck. Will load for shipping as needed. Vermeer RT 650 trencher, plow backhoe pick up North. IL
Located in zip 60081. Just fired up since last season, nice Vermeer RT 650 trencher, plow combo. Everything works normally, minus a few details I'll highlight. It's just too much machine for us and want to downsize to a smaller model. As stated, there's no major mechanical issues with it. It's been very well maintained and has no leaks whatsoever. It needs a couple of adjustments to be sure. The creeper lever is tricky and will require some attention to adjust. We got away with simply using the foot pedal to trench with. The parking brake will also need adjusting as it doesn't seem to hold very well. It should be noted that the safety switch in the driver seat has been bypassed by the previous owner. the machine will continue to operate when the driver is out of the seat. This worked to our advantage, but ideally, not ... moresafe. Therefore it is listed here. The tires are approx. 35% and could be replaced, but are still useable and hold air with no leaks. The backhoe and plow blade work perfect and show minimal wear. We never used the plow, but all functions operate and the shaker does shake. I do not have a plow blade for it1 The trencher works well with no issues and has a full carbide chain. All in all a very nice running machine. Aesthetically, it looks clean and fresh. The previous owner ran around the machine with a rattle can, which I hate when people do that, and touched up a few worn areas, hence some overspray on the hose covers and a couple other areas. I didn't do that, and it makes it look like one is hiding something, but it should be noted that there is some overspray here and there. I've described the machine as best I can.
