This is an EmerGen Switch made by Connecticut Electric Switch Mfg Co. Model#10-12K. It was installed in my home for standby power about 3 yrs ago. It is in good working order as I have tested it on a regular basis prior to the professional removal of the unit. Cosmetically it is as pictured. ok. I took pictures of the labels on the side which explain the breakdown of the 10 circuits. It has dual guages which allow you to see the wattage being used. I understand it was used to automatically switch over part of a city power to a generator when the regular power system failed. I talked with a guy who worked on the electrical system for the city and he told me it was rarely used and practically like new. It was only taken out because they changed the system. As you can see it is in very good condition and is ready to be hooked up to that emergency generator system, or a number of other systems where a unit like this is needed.
