Search This is a postcard with a bright orange allis-chalmers tractor on the front. The card has been postmarked 1941 and has a WW2 Buy Defense Savings Bonds and Stamps postmark. Allis chalmers wd 45 wide front restoration tractor.This tractor was dissasembled right down to frame and engine trans.And then painted and put back togeather with my own personal touches! Its one of a kind! I painted it orange and black Harley colors since allis chalmers and harley davidson were both born and raised in wisconsin and i wanted it too stand out in the crowd! I made it too look good for parades and shows, and was gonna bring it up too be a vintage stock tractor puller but i have another tractor that im gonna concentrate on and i just have to many irons in the fire and some gota go! This tractor has aluminum diamond plate frame rail covers, new decals, traction strips on foot rests and rear step plate, Stainless throttle and hydraulic lever handles, stainless shuttle clutch handle, and big custom 3 inch slash cut exhaust stack! ... moresounds cool! This tractor needs new brake lining shoes, and the hydraulic pump valve is stuck but not a big deal too take apart and clean.I really hate too sell but my other wd 45 has power steering and a loader and i use a brush hog with it so if i have too let one go its gotta be the show tractor. D17 Allis Chalmers Tractor rebuilt engine with power steering and 3 point hitch
For sale is a 1959 Allis Chalmers D17 Gas with power steering and 3 point hitch. It has the side belt drive but I don't have the pulley for it. It has a 4 speeds with a the high low range"power director" which also is a hand clutch with gives you live power. It has a 540 PTO and 1 remote. All the gauges work including the traction booster. The tach shows over 6000 hours on the tractor but I have just given in an in frame overhaul with new sleeves. Pistons, rings, and I have put new intake and exhaust valves in it. Carburetor has been totally rebuilt. All the coolant hoses have been replaced, new belt, new plugs, wires, points, and cap. The hydraulics work good and power director works great. The power steering works great. The tractor starts up and runs like a clock. The front and rear tires are worn, but all have some life ... moreleft in them. The rear tires are loaded. I would recommend you come take a look at this tractor and see how good it runs. I have it for sale locally! It can be seen in Ionia. MI. I have photos of the rebuild and all receipts for parts. The kit was the 4 1/8" medium compression overbore kit. If you have any questions at all please feel free to call me at 616-902-1233. Engine runs smooth, no smoke, Check back for a you tube video, As you can see in the pictures the tractor is in excellent condition, Fenders appear to be brand new with no rust. And they are factory strong so you can sit on them, Engine was recently rebuilt when restored, Power Steering, Oil. Amp, Temp, Gas Gage all work. The tach looks new but does not work. The tractor has been in the same family for 35 years and was used for mowing grass. I have owned past five years since getting it from my father-in-law and always stored in my pole barn. Allis Chalmers Model D17 Farm Tractor Year 1962-67
D-17 Allis Chalmers Runs great and is in excellent working order. But could use nice paint job. Has front loader which also works fine. Back Tires are great with mounted wheel weights and front tires are fair. This machine introduced the power director clutch which was a two speed lever that would give you low range when pulled back and high range when pushed forward. A very neat and useful feature which gives you 8 speeds in forward and 2 in reverse. Has a very slow oil leak(Drip) coming from the front crank seal but to small to worry about. Other than that no leaks were found. Also Front grill is missing and steering wheel is missing some of it plastic coating. I did see new steering wheels on Ebay for around $ 40.00. A very nice utility tractor for someone to use or restore. Sorry. Not sure on year other than it has the larger rear tires ... moreon it( 14.9-28) Which tells us it was built after 62 and the last production date was 67. Not sure where to look for serial number. Allis Chalmers WD Tractor. Don't really know what year it is. Maybe 40's-fifties? It a good running 4 cylinder with working 3 point hitch and the hydraulics work as well as the PTO. The carb has just been freshly rebuilt and it starts and runs good. Here is what I know is wrong with it: The paint is faded and the tires are weather cracked but hold air well. The gas tank needs redone on the inside. It has surface rust in it. I have a small temporary plastic tank mounted on the side of tractor. It is a 12 volt system but does not include a battery. It does not have any smoke or blowby to speak of. Holds excellent oil pressure. Power steering works good and is a sort of rare option to find on a D15. This tractor also has what i believe is a factory 3pt hitch(with the exception of the lift link of the left side) which is also a tough to find option. This would be a great candidate for restore, or put it directly to use! Nice little tractor! Bad spots on this machine: Rear tires are believed to be original. And obviously show wear, but are in good usable shape. One front tire is excellent, other is good usable. It is missing one under the gas tank side panel, we accidentally were given two of the same side) and i dont have the other one. Sheet metal is faded and has some rust spots, but is straight. Rear tires are good. One rear rim has rust out around the valve stem. The generator has been rebuilt. Engine oil and oil and fuel filters have been changed. The rams on the loader leak badly and will have to be repacked. I have tried to provide enough pictures so you can see the condition. When I got the tractor home I took off the LP set up an put on the gas tank an carb on it and ran it this way. I don't have any one around me to fill the Lp tank on the tractor so that is why I changed it back to gas. The tractor runs good and works good in every gear. I am selling my 1930 Allis-Chalmers U. This tractor is very rare. This tractor was made with a Continental flat head engine by United. United owned the model U tractor and Allis-Chalmers bought the model U from United. The Continental engines were put in U's for two years. 1930 was the first of the two years. I bought this tractor at an auction in Bridgeport. Nebraska about 5 years ago. It was the largest tractor auction in the world. This Allis-Chalmers U is a rare tractor. I just put tires on it. The tubes on the rear are brand new and the tires on the rear are in good shape. I have never started this tractor but it does turn over free. The steering wheel doesnt turn, its froze up. I have kept this U under a lean-to since I have owned it. The gas tank is no good and is just on the tractor for looks. The PTO and Loader are fully functional. Be advised the Power Steering. Remotes and lift arms are not functioning. They work intermittently. We have not had this diagnosed. The fluid is clean but has a lot of air bubbles like its sucking air. Has to be something simple but its being liquidated from an estate therefore we will not be getting it dealer diagnosed. 1939 Allis Chalmers RC Antique Tractor NO RESERVE ORIGINAL RARE Hard To Find
1939 Allis Chalmers RC Tractor serial number 3460. This was the first year of production, these were only built for 3 years they were basically a WC with a smaller engine to save on fuel, the frame was the same so it could take all the same implements as the WC, it didnt perform as expected so its production run was short and replaced by the Allis Chalmers C Tractor, not many were produced and they are sought after and hard to find, this one has been stored in a shed for many years it was last run two years ago, it does come with the original hand crank, original steel belt pulley, rear tires are 10/28 they both will take air but do leak down, one rear rim is ok the other is bad and will need to be replaced, the metal is all original, there is some dings on it but pretty solid and very restorable, the engine has not been run in two years ... moreit is free and turns over it is complete with the original carburator and magneto. this tractor has been sitting and not run at all in 2 years and much in the 10 years previous, it will make a great project and is very restorable, if you are looking for a rare Allis Chalmers or a good project this one is selling NO RESERVE. 1956 Allis Chalmers CA Antique Tractor NO RESERVE Wide Front Live PTO
1956 Allis CA Tractor serial number 38102. I have had this tractor for two years, Ihavenot run it since last fall it fired right up this spring and runs good, it has plenty of power and does not smoke, it does need a little choke to run, a good carb. cleaning would take care of this, it has a original wide front, steel belt pulley, rear lift works, PTO works good, has the original hand clutch which is always missing and it does work this is what gives it Live PTO, the right brake works good the left brake is working about 50% the clutch and transmission work good, the rear rims are both getting rusty by the valve stem but will last for a long and are not to bad to fix or restore, the rear tires are 11.2/24 and are 80% tread they are older tires but are in good condition, it is still 6 volt and fires right up and runs good it is running in ... morethe photos. Allis Chalmers C Tractor W/Sickle Mower Under Belly. The engine ran very good and sounded strong when I parked this tractor in the very spot it sets now 14 years ago. The carburetor will need to be cleaned and the tank drained. It was switched over to a 12V system when I bought it and it will also need a new battery. The sickle mower needs a new pitman arm and the coupling or piece that connects the pitman rod to the PTO side. The rear tire went flat after a few years so I put it on blocks to keep it off the ground. I aired up the front tires today and they seem just fine. I don't have electricity at the land so I didn't try to air up the rear tire. I have a guy that mows the land a couple times a year for the hay so I have no use for this tractor or the desire to mess with it. It will make a good tractor for anyone who wants to restore ... moreit or just fix it up to mow a few acres. The Allis-Chalmers 5040 Diesel- 1980 Tractor(AC5040) AS IS WHERE IS SN# 475049 Engine# 139339 1158 hrs(see pictures) Bucket is Allis-Chalmers Model# 400 and the SN# looks like 4172(but might not be exact) FEATURES: This AC5040 has the Rear PTO. Front Bucket, Roll Cage with Canopy AND Brand New REAR Tires& Rims(the tires and Rims were installed where it sits. Never ran the tractor with the tires/rims on it) it has the drawbar clevis and arms. Allis Chalmers WD 45 Farm Tractor, Very nice condition, runs great
I'm selling another tractor from my collection. This one is a Allis Chalmers WD 45. Tractor runs great. Does not smoke, all the gears work, brakes work, tires have good tread but show some weathering, sheet metal is about as perfect as you will find, paint looks nice also. It seeps some hydraulic oil from somewhere underneath the tractor. You can see a wet spot when you leave it parked on concrete. I've had the tractor 3 or 4 years.
