Completely Reconditioned IH Cub 185 Lo-Boy Tractor with Mod. 3160A 60" Mow Deck
INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CUB 185 LO-BOY COMPLETELY REFURBISHED If you’re not into reading the details. Here’s what you need to know about this tractor. It has been meticulously checked for any damaged or defective parts which were then replaced with new or good used. Many parts were sand blasted to bare metal, others were sanded smooth, and everything repainted with the proper colors. It is now ready to mow or show! I’d be overdoing it to say this tractor has undergone a complete restoration but it’s pretty close to it. Most people who have looked at it say that it is“better than new” museum quality” too nice to use” etc. but it is a well built, attractive and affordable tractor for mowing. If you want all of the details please read the following: I’ve been mowing with my 154 for about 30 years and love it. A few years ago I needed a new steering ... moregear and learned that they were discontinued and bought a used one from a local dealer for over $300. I decided to then buy a decent tractor for parts to keep mine going. A friend saw the parts tractor and wanted to buy the rear end. I bought another and sold him the rear end and sold the remaining parts on eBay. I’m now on number nine and know these tractors inside and out. This tractor is serial number 42447 which means it was manufactured in 1976. Here is everything that was done. 99% of it by me: This was a running tractor that I bought on eBay from a Southern Ohio dealer. I brought it home in the fall of’13 and unloaded it from my trailer and mowed off my wildflower/weed patch. Some of the weeds were over my head and this tractor knocked them down and chopped them up with the mower raised all the way up. I then mowed again with the mower down with excellent results. My Cub 154 Lo-Boy won’t mow this kind of mess. The 185 has more horsepower and the model 3160A mowing deck will lift higher for tall grass and weeds. I ran a compression test which was very good and checked the oil pressure with a gauge– runs right at specs. With no problems with the engine

Woods 5140 Mow n' Machine Zero Turn - 16 hp, 48" deck - same as Grasshopper 616
This Woods 5140 Mow n' Machine looks. Runs, and mows great! It's powered by a Briggs and Stratton Vanguard v-twin engine that was originally a 14 hp. But I put a brand new 16 hp carburetor on it. From my research, the carburetor size is the only difference between a 14 and 16 hp Vanguard, so with the upgraded carburetor this engine is now equivalent to a 16 hp. I also put a brand new fuel tank, fuel pump, lines and fuel filter on it, so the entire fuel system on this mower is brand new. All the drive belts on this machine are brand new. As well as new blades, new bearings in the rear axle spindles, a new PTO switch, and upgraded front deck wheel assemblies. I've repainted most of the mower, but it looked pretty good before I painted it. This mower is really nice. I don't know how many hours are on it. Because Grasshopper and ... moreWoods didn't put hour meters on the smaller machines until more recently. However, judging the minimal wear on things like the seat and the footrest, as well as the overall condition of the machine, I'd guess it has about 500-600 hours. I work for a farm equipment dealer that sells both Grasshopper and Woods mowers, so I'm very familiar with these machines and I used all OEM parts on it. Grasshopper built these mowers for Woods, so it is identical to a Grasshopper 616. It does use a little bit of oil. Not sure why; the engine runs beautifully and is very strong. It also sounds very smooth and tight(no knocking, piston slap, etc. The only other issue I'm aware of is that the headlights aren't working. Not sure why because I never took the time to fix it. I'm selling this machine because I have 2 mowers in my garage and only need one. I bought the mower this spring from a friend who upgraded. Kubota BX2230 DIESEL 4X4 tractor with 60" mow deck NO RESERVE
Tractor is in great condition always stored in the garage starts right up doesn't smoke is work ready needs nothing has a few scuffs to be expected for a 10yr old machine. Last summer it had the regular every 200 hour service at 800 hours it now has 868 so for presale I had a minimal service including oil change with filter and new air filters. Also last summer the deck was refurbished with new blades. Gear box and anything else needed. The three point lift and the rear p.t.o. on the tractor have never been used its only been used for mowing purposes.
