John Deere Tractor - 1978 Model 2130 4 Cylinder Diesel
Selling my 1978 John Deere Tractor Model 2130: It is a 75 HP four cylinder diesel motor that is brand new. Everything works great. Three point hitch is strong and does not bleed off with draft control. Power steering is great, 1 remote for hydraulics, 540 PTO, high–low range transmission with 8 forward, 4 in reverse and Park(locks the transmission) the brakes work perfectly with ease and will lock either tire with very little pressure. I would rate the rear tires at%50 as seen in the pictures. The front tires are in excellent condition. Power steering works great and there are no fluid leaks on this tractor! The Engine is basically new. Less than one year since complete rebuild(60 PSI oil pressure) New crank. Rod bearings, piston sleeves, piston rings, milled head, new valve job, new alternator, new clutch& pressure plate, new fly wheel, ... moreall new seals with the exception of the oil pan gasket(no leaks) new PTO clutch pack. Tach. Temperature and oil pressure gauges are all brand new and operate correctly and just installed 2 new rear fenders& seat. This tractor is very straight and has not been abused; there are no dents on the sheet metal. I did not paint the tractor so as not to cover anything. The rims where painted. What is not quite right with the tractor… One minor flaw that I know of. There is diesel fuel drip on top of the fuel injector. It is coming from the shaft that attaches to the throttle body. John Deere 4040 Tractor Front End Loader 90 HP Diesel Powershift Transmission.
For sale is a nice John Deere 4040 tractor with loader. This is a good used tractor that is ready to go to work. Comes with a Koyker 565 loader and bucket. Tractor is rated at 90 hp and has a 540/1000 pto. Powershift transmission and clutch in good shape. Heat and a/c both work. The interior also has a brand new cab kit. Tractor weighs about 11.000 pounds, 96" wide, 108" to top of cab, and around 16' long. It does have the long rear axle if someone wanted to put duals on it. The last four digits of the serial number are 3935 which makes this a 1979. It has about 8,470 hours on it, but has not been ragged and has plenty of life left in it. If it sits a while it has a few minor leaks like most older tractors. Nothing major at all. You can load this one up and take it straight to work. I’m mentioning this because I’ve only owned the tractor for just over a year and the information for the tractor's history comes from the previous owners. Who the consignment shop listed as having owned it for14 years. It's a good running, solid tractor. I bought this tractor after moving from the inner city to a rural setting. I thought I would need a tractor more than I have. The truth of the matter is that I’ve used it for maybe 8-10 hours of work since I bought it and, half of that time was probably just me trying to make use of the tractor. It's a 1974 according to the serial number 209-155T. The Consignment Shop listed the engine as being rebuilt 112 hours ago. I have no way to verify or confirm this but it was a reputable ... moreshop and they listed that very thing on eBay. The engine does run very good. Doesn’t smoke excessively and idles great. The transmission shifts good and has 8 forward gears and 4 reverse ones. I was formerly an Oldsmobile mechanic and as Clint said, A man’s got to know his limitations. So since I do, I had a friend of mine, who has worked with tractors for a good part of his life, come over and check this tractor out for me. A few things he said are worth mentioning. He pointed out a part of the frame where this tractor has no cracks at all. He said, typically that when guys beat a tractor, cracks show up where the bucket has been forced against a fixed object like a curb or rocks. He was impressed that this tractor had none of the expected cracks. He also pointed out that the back of the bucket had been reinforced for back dragging. He said the pins on the backhoe were showing the usual wear, to a bit loose, but that it was in good shape for its age. He noticed that the hydraulics work when the engine is idling meaning that you didn’t have to rev the engine up in order for the hydraulics to move. He said this was a sign that the hydraulic pump was in good shape because when the

John Deere 730 Diesel Standard Electric Start
Up for auction I have a 1960 John Deere 730 diesel standard electric start. It's serial number: 7324483. It has the rare adjustable front in good non broke condition. The tractor runs great. It does need two new battery's and a couple battery cable ends. The cables are good but the ends are junk. It has the original starter. Bracket, throttle linkages, and breather. I pull start the tractor and it starts instantly. The clutch is good and it shifts as it should. The brakes are a little weak but they aren't froze up. It is full of good clean antifreeze. The flywheel and clutch drive are both right on the splines. The fenders are in great condition with a few dents but no rusting so they would clean up nice. The hood and nose are in good condition as well. I don't see anything wrong with it other then needing some battery attention. ... moreI've used it quite a bit around the farm pulling random stuff. It hasn't let me down yet. The power steering works and the front end seams good and tight. The original tach works and reads 1745 hrs. I'm not sure if this is correct but the drawbar shows low wear. All four tires hold air. The rear rims are in good non rotted condition, and the tires are about 30% matched tread but weathered. It is missing the top pre cleaner bowl. Overall it's a nice old rare tractor. Factor electric start tractors don't show up often in this good of condition. 1960 John Deere 730 Diesel Standard
Up for auction I have a 1960 John deere 730 diesel standard. The serial number is: 7322799. The tractor originally came from out west were it had spent its life on a wheat farm with a John deere 80. It used to have a cab and I removed it since it wasn't a factory cab. It's a nice old original tractor and has never been repainted. The pony motor ran 3 years ago. I haven't had time to get it running. It will need a battery and some fresh gas and possibly a set of points. The big motor starts rite up and runs great. It is by far the best running 730 I've ever owned. It doesn't use any oil and it doesn't smoke at all hardly. The governor and motor were rebuilt by the original owner back in the 80s. He had a whole new governor case and block installed. Since the pony doesn't run we always pull start it and it starts ... moreup immediately. The flywheel and clutch driver are both good and tight on the splines. The clutch works good and the transmission shifts as it should. It is full of good antifreeze. The wiring appears to be in good shape and the original fuel gauge still works. The hood and nose are in good shape with just a couple dents and dings. The fenders aren't rusted out but have some dents that will need fixing and a couple mounting holes. All of the sheet metal could be made perfect without to much body work. RARE RARE John Deere 710 Diesel Tractor
This tractor was purchased at an auction to settle an estate. After consulting with John Deere Collectors and owners. None have seen or know anything about this 710 John Deere Tractor. I hauled t he tractor home and installed a battery and it fired right up. Runs good. Holds water in cooling system. After it ran for a while I noticed motor oil leaking from rear of head. The head gasket appears to be deteriorating on corner of head. No water in oil, no miss in engine, no oil In water. Should be easy to fix for those who are familiar with repairing tractors. It was also noticed that the Power steering does not work or hydraulics. After looking for the problem I noticed that the coupler to the external hydraulic pump is missing so pump is not running. Unsure what the problem could be. May need just coupler between the front of the engine& ... morehydraulic pump(see pictures)Also. The front right side of motor piece is broken where the block butts up to front(see pictures) Tag on side of motor reads M53LA 019641CD. Number in casting reads 116741L(see pictures) Unsure of the year it was made. I have not been able to locate it in any of my John Deere Books. The sheet metal is decent. Rear tires are weathered, but all hold air; clutch and gears seem to be good, PTO shafts work. Starts and runs very good. It appears that at one time someone has rebuilt the injector pump(see pictures) This is a tractor your neighbors do not have and you do not see every day. I am listing the following item for my Father who has become unable to use it anymore. This is a John Deere 2320 Diesel Compact Tractor. 23 HP, 4x4, 74 Original Hours, One owner purchased new in March 2010 that was listed at $16,012 before taxes. This tractor has Hydro Trans, Power Steering, Three Point Hitch, Mid& Rear PTO, Foldable ROPS, Turf Tires with JD 54”D Mid Mount Finish Mower, Shaft Drive, Adjustable Cutting Height and Canopy. This very nice low hour John Deere 2320 diesel compact tractor is considered by some to be John Deere's Deluxe Compact tractor. Always kept in a covered shed. But the sunlight has faded the plastic foot pads to a grey color. The top has a bend or has been bent on the driver’s front side. Hard to see in the picture. Also the left tail/security light plastic red lens has a piece chipped out and there ... moreis a ding in the grille as pictured. There are minor scratches on mower deck associated with the noted years of use. Tractor was serviced on 10-05-2013 and all filters were replaced and the tractor was lubed. It is very easy to take the drive on mid mower on and off. This is a great size tractor for mowing and John Deere has a myriad of attachments for this size tractor. Tillers.
