Starter clutch engages great and the big diesel 2 cylinder engine starts right up and picks'em off flawlessly. The gauges are all in great shape. The tires are all brand new. There is no play or slop in the steering and the gears are all nice and quiet. The clutch snaps in and out just fine and the seat cushion is near mint. Use or show this tractor. Up for auction we have a 1959 john deere 730 diesel standard pony start. Serial number 7314333. The tractor runs great. I haven't had the pony motor running. It last ran about 3 and a half years ago. So it's going to need a carb cleaning I'm sure and possibly a set of points. The big motor is a sound string runner tho and has great power. It always starts right up within the first 10 feet of pulling it. The transmission shifts as it should and the clutch snaps good and tight. The tractor has hydraulics and power steering. The radiator is full of good clean antifreeze and doesn't have any leaks. The tractor used to have a cab on it and we removed it. So there is a couple extra holes on the fenders here and there but they are just small 1/8in ones that could easily be repaired. The back fenders are in pretty good condition. ... moreThe right rear fender has some rusting towards the back of it. This could easily be repaired. The hood and the nose cone are fairly straight for the most part. The nose cone is painted with primer gray. All of the tin work would clean up nicely if you are planning on restoring it. Up for sale I have a 70 all fuel row crop. It has an original square tube wide front in good tight shape with no breaks or welds. And an 801 3point on the back. The tractor starts up from the push of the button. It's starts easy and runs great. It is a very strong running tractor. The clutch and brakes work great on it aswell. It shifts into all of the gears with ease. The steering is tight and easy going. All in all it is mechanically good. The only thing i noticed is that it needs manifold gaskets pretty bad. The bolts don't look like they're all rusted up so it shouldn't be too hard. It has the original all fuel manifold on it that is in great shape. There's no cracks or breaks on it. This is very hard to find an all fuel manifold with no cracks. The coolant system is full of good antifreeze and has no leaks. All four ... moretires hold air and have average tread. It has a set of original front rims in good not bent condition. The tin work is good and straight with just a couple little dings and would clean up nice. This tractor runs good it is running in the photos, the pony motor runs and does start the big motor, the big motor fires instantly, doesnot smoke and good oil pressure, the tractor has a float ride seat, the sheetmetal is good and solid, you may find a ding or two but it is nice, the paint is nice not a new car finish but very nice, the rims are good and solid, rear tires are 18.4/34 at 50% but are older and have some cracks in them, the tractor has power steering that does work, at dead idle it turns hard at times but revved up and driving it steers with one finger, the PTO works good, the right brake works very good the left will slow tractor down but is only working about 10% has a John deere step, cylinder hanger and a good outside air stack, has all three lights that ... moredo work even the rear red light works, the wide front is good with no wleds or breaks, the hydraulics do work, the PTO works good, drawbar is good, the tach is new and reads 13 hours and does work, one the rear of tractor where the PTO shield goes there is one hole where the pin goes in is cracked off, you can still put a shield on or you can repair it. this tractor runs and drives good, if you are looking for one to use or put in your collection this one is selling NO RESERVE. if you have any questions email or call me at 1-920-988-6388, I can help load and help arrange delivery I will store the tractor for 6 months if paid for please NO PAYPAL unless you contact me first. John Deere 720 diesel tractor– an unusual find in original and unrestored condition. The sheet metal is excellent with nearly all original green paint showing and lots of authentic patina. It is complete with the 3 point. Sway bars, step, brackets, pony motor(provided) etc. This tractor is about as honest as they get and my collector friends who see it agree that it would be a shame to replace the original finishes. 1958 John Deere 720 Diesel Standard Tractor serial number 7221728. This tractor is running in the photos, it came out of a estate where it has been sitting in a shed for the last 15 years and only run a couple of times, it runs good, does not smoke, the pony motor runs and fires up every time, does smoke a little, the big diesel motor fires up instantly, the pony motor clutch does grind once in a while, you need to pull it back a inch and then start the big motor then it doesnt grind, I think it is out of adjustment, the fenders are solid, I took a photo of the inside of one of them, the power steering does work but sometimes it will be sluggish and turn hard, the sheetmetal is solid, has a few dings but would restore easily, fenders are good, the wide front is good with no welds or breaks, the PTO works good and has a PTO shield, also has ... morea cylinder hanger, the seat is a float ride seat and has newer seat cushions, has a new muffler, tach is not working, rims are good there is a lttle rust starting by the valve stem, just starting and will last for many years, the rear tires are 18.4/30 at 40% and older tires with some cracks, this tractor starts good the big motor is very good and strong, pony always fires right up but smokes a little and needs some adjustment but will fire big motor instantly, the clutch is good, brakes, PTO and transmission all work good, it has been shedded for 15 years and not run much if at all, it would be a good one to restore or just add to your collection. I changed the points and it fired right up and has great oil pressure. It could maybe use a carb kit but the more I run it the better it's gotten. It has good power and doesn't smoke. The coolant system is full of antifreeze and doesn't leak. It has factory powersteering which is a very rare option on these! Very few came with the factory power steering system. I bought this out of a collection and the previous owner claimed it had been restored as an ag tractor but was an industrial. The underneath of the hold and several other areas are bleeding yellow paint through. Even under where the emblem Used to be is original industrial yellow. The previous owner included and original industrial front axle with the tractor that he said came off the tractor. I will be listing the front axle in a separate auction. This tractor is the hard to find rice version with the big rubber(23.1 26) and mud shields that cover the axles and brakes as pictured. The tractor starts up and runs absolutely perfect. The guy I had bought it off of said that it was running a thresher and broke the crankshaft on the clutch pulley. So the owner at that time took it to deere and had a brand new crankshaft installed and the motor was rebuilt at that time as well. This was done In the 80s and it has about a 1000 hrs of run time on it since the rebuild. It runs absolutely perfect and doesn't miss a beat. I just put new coils and a carb kit in the pony. I can't get it to have any spark so that's about as far as I've gotten with it. The mag looks good. Carb looks good, and the fuel tank looks to be good too. The tractor turns over and has good compression. I don't think it would take much to get it going once you get spark. I was going to get it up and running but I just don't have the time to put towards it. It shifts into all of the gears. Everything moves like it should. Clutch snaps in and out like it should. It seams to be a pretty tight old tractor. The fenders are rough on the bottom foot or so like usual. These can be bought new for very reasonable. It has the original steel all around in great shape. No cracks or welds from what I could see ... moreanywhere. It even has the rare extensions on the back wheels! Wow! It is missing a couple lugs I noticed. They can be obtained fairly easy. Up for auction I have a 1958 John Deere crawler 440C. Serial number 441351. It starts up by the push off a button. It runs very smooth. The transmission goes into all gears and the clutch works just like it should! The steering works in both directions. Both levers also may need some adjusting. The loader hydraulics operate fast and smooth. I recently lifted up a 3.000 lbs tractor rear-end with it and it handled it fine. Has 4 weights on rear end of it. Undercarriage is in good shape. About 60% of it remains and the radiator is full of anti-freeze. The bottom of the front cast iron nose is broken off at that bottom.
