1951 John Deere Model G with Power Steering
1951 John Deere G. This is a good running John Deere! I was told that the original owner had a lot of work done on this G to get more power and make it better to farm with. This tractor starts and runs good with no smoke. This is a good. Mechanically sound tracor ready to go to work. No leaks, breaks or welded areas. Has one finger power steering. Good solid sheet metal, fenders have some rust. Gas manifold, water pump(just rebuilt) power steering, fenders, cast rear wheels, and a#800 three point hitch. Rear tires are OK with some weather checking, front tires are weather checked but all hold air good and two new front tires are included. The 3 point hitch works great and will hold position. In 2007 I restored and sold an Oliver 990 GM to a gentleman outside of Atlanta. GA. Since then he and I have become close friends. Anyway, long story short, the 990 was one tractor that I wished I had been able to hold on to. Finally after nearly 6 years of begging him to sell it back to me he agreed. It has 540 PTO with belt pulley, has a 6 volt starting system, has new paint, and tons of new parts. The rear tires are about 85% with some dry cracks. This tractor starts and runs good. One brake is a little weak. 1951 John Deere R Tractor serial number 9171. I bought this tractor out of an estate auction, it is a non runner and is missing the clutch, the motor looks to be complete, the pony engine is all there, the wide front is not welded or broken, it has hydraulics, and the transmission shifts in all gears, the sheetmetla is solid and straight, one of the fenders hyas some rust onit, the hood and grill are solid, the hood has a few drill holes in it the grill looks good and solid, has a drawbar hitch, one of the rear rims is shot the ohter is good, the front rims are good, one of the tires holds air, this tractor has not been run in years, it would make a excellent project tractor, pony motor is there and the big motor looks complete, the radiator is there as well. 1951 John Deere B Antique Tractor NO RESERVE Farmall
1951 John Deere B serial number 284387. This tractor came out of a local collection, it has been stored in a shed for the last 5 years and not run much if at all, it is running in the photos and runs good, this tractor drives very nice, I am not sure of hours on it as there is no tach. but the clutch, transmission, PTO, hydraulics and brakes all work very good, it is not noisy in the rearend or transmission, it has all three original lights on it even the rear red light they do not work but are there, has original John Deere front rims, rear tires are 12.4/38 Armstrong and are 60% tread older tires but in good condition, the hood has been cut around the muffler not a sloppy job and can be fixed, the sheetmetal is solid there are a few dings but is very easily restorable, battery box is good, this is a old tractor that has not or if at all ... morebeen run much in the last five years, runs good but has been sitting, if you are looking for one to use or restore this one is a lat model and is selling NO RESERVE. 1951 John Deere AR Tractior serial number 277014. This tractor is running in the photos, it starts and runs very good, the front tires are new, rear tires are 14.9/26 at 60% and are older tires with a few cracks but will last fro a long time, the sheetmetal is solid with a few dings, still has both battery covers, the brakes work sgood, and has both brake locks on it, the tractor is still original with two 6 volt batteries not converted to one 12 volt, the grill screen is very nice, has a good drawbar, PTO work sgood, and has factory hydraulics, the clutch and transmission both work good, the carburator is correct and has the original generator, runs great no smoke and good oil pressure, has a original Hobbs Hour Meter, one of the rear rims is good and solid the other has been patched by the valve stem, it is a good job and doesnt leak, has ... morelights but are currently not working, this tractor is ready to go to work or be an easy restoration project, starts, runs and drives very nice. 1951 John Deere B Antique Tractor NO RESERVE Excellent Original D A G R
1951 John Deere B serial number 238158. This tractor is in excellent original condition, it starts, runs and drives very good, the sheetmetal is in very good condition, the hood is uncut and in perfect condtion i did not see any dings in it, the grills are solid but do have a few dings on the bottom but are very solid and could beleft or restored easily, the transmission is a 6 speed that work great, the clutch and brakes are good, the tractor has working hydrualics and the PTO works good, the front is a rol-a-matic front with original John Deere rims, the rear rims are good and solid, the rear tires are 11.2/38 and are 80% tread older tires, the engine runs excellent it has good oil pressure and does not smoke you can idle it right down and it will keep on running, the battery box is original and in good condition it is 12 volt always starts ... moreright up, it has all three original lights and brackets on it with the rear red light they do not work but are there and in good condition, this tractor is a late model that is in excellent original condition it would be hard to find another like this, one of the rear hubs has been reapinted the rest has not, it came out of an estate where it was going to be restored, I think it would be better to leave it as is, it is nearly impossible to find them like this, but if you want to restore it, it wont take much as it runs and drives excellent and such good solid metal with aperfect hood that has not been cut by the muffler, this tractor is selling NO RESERVE. 1951 John Deere B Tractor serial number 292233. Two weeks ago this tractor ran great, always started right up did not smoke and had good oil pressure when I went to take photos of it it fired right up ran good for about a minute and started smoking, I shut it off, I am not sure what happened, does not knock or sound unusual just smokes, I am selling it like that, it is a nice tractor, has a good original carburator and upright distributor, has John Deere front rims, the rear rims are good and solid, the rear tires are 13.6/38 at 10% tread and are older tires, has a rol-a-matic front, the sheetmetal is solid, there are a few dings but it is solid and could be restored, the tractor has a charlynn power steering unit on it, it does work but has a leak I am nto sure if it is from the resivoir or a hose when you have fluid in it it will steering ... morewith one finger but it does leak, it is still 6 volt and it does need a battery, I am not sure what is worng it could be something simple as there are no noises in engine, fix it to use or restore it, or if you need a power steering unit it is a god one.
