Vintage Peerless Police Handcuffs with Key These Peerless handcuffs show two Patent dates. The earlier being 1912 and the later being November 25, 1915. No serial number on these that I can find, cuffs are stamped with a circular Trade Mark Registered marking. Cuffs double lock, rather unusual for cuffs of that period, I'd guess since the other cuffs I have seen do not. Heavier than other cuffs, nickel steel, in very nice condition. Would guess a date of early 1920's. These were carried by my father who was an officer for 37 years and joined the department in the 1920's. I also have several other pairs of cuffs. Antique Electric Singer Sewing Machine w/ Locking Wood Case and Key
Up for auction is an Electric Pre-1930's Singer sewing machine. This machine has been used and shows gentle wear. The Singer on the front of the machine is wearing off on the left side and the base has the black paint wearing off on the front edge. The wood cabinet is in very good shape but does shows signs of wear for being over the 70+ years old and comes with one working key. The Singer on the case is complete and in tact. It does appear that the case may have been stripped down and re-stained and varnished at some point. The machine comes with a knee lever. This Singer only has a straight forward stitch and NO reverse stitch. The machine does runs on 120 volts. So you can plug this into the wall and start sewing. The belt from the electric motor has been recently replace. I have tried to discribe the piece of sewing history as best ... moreas I can. So if you have any questions please ask. This cabinet is a very lovely example of the Victorian Arts and Crafts era. The front panels are quarter sawn oak with decorative copper washed brackets and keyhole surround. The brackets are marked with a very tiny series of numbers. There is also a copper washed medallion on the cornice. The interior has the original center shelf. That is removable, but it is quite lightweight, and would not hold anything to heavy. The locking mechanism has a replacement screw. There are brackets on the back for hanging, but it also has 4 wood feet and could set on a tabletop. There is one very small sliver of wood missing from the top right corner otherwise the cabinet is in excellent condition. The cabinet measures 12 by 14” and ... moreis 6 ¼” deep. Vintage glass door knobs with original locking mechanism and skeleton key
Original vintage glass door knob set with orginal locking mechanism and skeleton key. I also have otuer sets as well as the original doors I will be posting later. This knob set has paint on it but it comes off easily. I have cleaned a portion of one side to show that they will clean up to be a beautiful knob set. The case to the lock mechanism is steel with a brass plate and solid brass pistons. The mechanism seems to work well with the key but may need to be oiled or greased. Thanks for looking
