If you're Mr. Fix It. Then this auction is for you. The Makita DC1411 Charger(for 7.2. 9.6, 12, 14.4 volt Ni-Cd or Ni-MH batteries) goes through all the normal protocol when you plug it in. Blinks green, then turns solid red when I insert a battery(12 volt battery, haven't tried others) and then goes through a normal length"charge cycle, the turns solid green again to indicate"charge complete. However, my"known good" batteries(Ni-MH) are not charged after using this charger. I've read online it's possibly a"heat sink" problem, or something to that effect. I have not charged any other voltage batteries on this charger other than my 12 volt batteries, and they were all 12 volt Ni-MH, not Ni-CD. The Makita 12 volt 1222 Ni-Cd battery shown tests around 7 volts. So am guessing it has several bad cells. ... moreLooks in great shape cosmetically. Dont know a lot about these, but used one of my old batteries with this to cut up some plywood and wine barrel staves, seemed to work fine even with old/weak batteries(i still use them for a 12v vacuum-still good enough to vacuum a small spill) lower 48 only due to shipping cost Please note-items paid for after 9am ca time friday generaly cannot be shipped till monday. As our local po is closed saturady. There is generally 1 day a week when we are gone and cannot respond or ship item. We do not know at the time of listing which day that will be. See our other listings and score a deal with combined shipping on top of that. No local pick up Remember ebay charges a roughly 12% commission on shipping also.
