2 VINTAGE SKELETON FLY FISHING REELS FOR PARTS OR TO FIX. NO BRAND, MARKED JAPAN
2 vintage skeleton fly reels for parts or to fix. No brand. Both are marked Japan on underside of foot. One has another marking above where it says Japan but I am not sure if it is a maker's name or what it says. This one also has a"B" stamped below where it reads Japan. Both reels are same size(approx. 2 1/2" in dia. Reels both get stuck mid crank, and both have clicker issues. There is also finish loss and overall wear. One of the reels has a loose inner post. The wiring from the speaker output was connected here, but should be redone(or just scrapped and returned to the original style plug) The head powers up, but output is weak and distorted- not in the good way, either. It's not the tubes. Take a look at the output circuit. Some caps have been replaced. There is also a common mod floating around online that was done, making each channel vary a bit in sound and tone(these are the new caps seen at the preamplifier section of the circuit) Make an offer now! Clean and in EXCELLENT condition- It dates from between 1915 to 1920(or so) Those of you who know classical mandolins know that this is a HIGH QUALITY Neopolitan Mandolin- similar in tone to the Vinnacia's of the period. Parchment lined bowl- just like the Italian makers in Naples did since the 1700's. NO CRACKS- on the soundboard or on the back. Neck is STRAIGHT AND TIGHT as the day it was made. Beautiful seven strip purfling of ebony and maple. Celluloid binding throughout. It has a VERY HIGH GRADE Spruce Top as well as SUPER HIGH GRADE Brazilian Rosewood back(with much black"graining" Headstock overlay is also Brazilian Rosewood. VERY LOUD and GREAT TONE! Resonates like you won't believe and it's a 100 year old instument. It has a solid Ebony Fret Board! Great action- it's less than 1/8" off the FINAL ... more17th fret! UNBELIVABLE straight and low action on both sides of the fretboard. The rosewood body gives this antique mandolin a fantastic vintage tone. I strung it with GHS 09's"Ultra Lights" so that you can play it right out of the box- once tuned. NOTHING to Fix. NOTHING to Clean- the finish has a very slight age crazing in the varnish- as should be expected. THIS MANDOLIN IS EXTREMELY CLEAN and EXTREMELY NICE and plays REALLY WELL! This is a VERY nice looking 100 year old VINTAGE Bowlback Mandolin- worthy of playing- or for your collection. Like I said it was working when pulled and unmodified but I used some parts off of it to repair my hot rod deluxe. So it is missing R-32. Vintage Benson 300H Tube Amp EL34's Project Reverb Fuzz Trem repair fix
These were built by a boutique company in the early 1970's. And have great reviews, though they are very rare. This amp will need work. It has been recapped using quality components, the can caps are JJ, and the power cord has been replaced. A variety of other components- some film caps, diodes, resistors and transistors have also been replaced. Channel one is functional, channel two does not currently pass signal, though I have heard it functioning. It has been an experimental amp, the effects board has been modified many times. Right now, the effects are non-functioning, that's where your work will need to happen. There are a couple of pictures included of the effects board, I took those the last time I worked on the amp, so there may be parts that have been replaced since then. I have heard all three effects on this amp function- ... morethe reverb sounds great, the trem sounded great, and the fuzz sounded like'70's solid state fuzz. Original 15" speaker, original power transformer, output transformer, and reverb transformer. Included is the oddball footswitch cable. No footswitch, but the cable gets you converted to a standard footswitch at least, you should be able to figure out some 1/4" footswitch that works. Also included is a bag full of original parts, and a disc with three partial schematics- took quite a while to gather this much info together, so even though it's not perfect, I wanted to keep it together. The cabinet is in good condition. But has some dings and imperfections. There is one significant tear in the grillcloth but otherwise it's nice, and has a lot of shine and glitter to it. The handle is still uncracked, the back is still here, reverb tank is still here. Knobs are here, looks like it's pretty much complete(but no guarantees in case I'm missing a screw or something) This will be a project. You will not get this amp. Put in a new set of tubes and get lucky. It will take some work. I'll do my best to answer questions, but I will not be doing diagnosti

Vintage Vox Essex Guitar or Bass amp repair fix
This is all the guts. Minus speaker, from a Vox Essex. This was not working when I pulled it. The cabinet is not water damaged, and didn't come out of Hurricane Sandy-land, so at least there's that. As you can see, it was recapped at some recent time, and the power cord is modern. There's a hole for a jack marked"Out" that might not be original, but no jack or apparent wiring for it. Other than that, I don't know much, except that I needed the cabinet. It has a lot of parts that look original, the transformers, film caps, wiring, resistors, transistors and diodes are almost all original-looking- I see one modern resistor and one modern film cap, unless something's hidden. The original wiring harness with connector is still here. This will be a project. It will take some work. You'll need a schematic or another ... moreEssex to figure out what's going on, I think. I'll do my best to answer questions, but I will not be doing diagnostic work for you during the auction, so don't ask. I'm not going to disassemble the amp and read every code. If I wanted to take it apart again and do major testing on it, I'd work on it myself. Someone could have a cool project here, or the parts you need. You could certainly put this into another cabinet of just about any kind if you get it working, the faceplate part is a rectangle that would be easy to cut a hole for, and it flanges itself- so it even covers up two sides of the hole you've cut. The other two parts just screw into the inside of the cabinet. I have been ebaying since just after Ebay was started. Since long before feedback was invented. I've earned a good feedback score.
