Up for auction is a vintage"Eddie Stanky" signature Sonnett"Craft Built" baseball mitt made in the 1940s(possibly the 1950s. Because he played/started for 5 different teams from the 40s through the 50s) This m itt was an estate auction purchase and it is in relatively good vintage condition. It has a leather string broken/missing and there is good wear to the glove. It was really dry when I got it but after putting some glove oil on it the markings started to come right out. However we believe it is ca. 1940s. The“7” stamped into the leather on the outer reverse side likely refers to helmet size. Overall dimensions are approximately 9” wide by 10” high. This helmet is very hard/strong. In overall good condition and has minor wear consistent with age. The leather padding on the inside is in good shape and there is slight wear/fraying to the fabric lining the interior ear holes. But this does not detract from the overall appearance. This beautiful survivor is a glass paperweight for Detmer Woolens Co. And has incredibly detailed and beautiful graphics. From the 1880's- 1890's, it shows a huge factory with wagons, horses, pedestrians, etc. Plenty of flaking around edges, but graphics come through pretty much unscathed and displays well.Original paper piece over back still protecting it, but could use more gluing and/or covering on back to prevent further erosion. The English Coach Horn was played on Royal Post and passenger coaches in England from the 17th through the early 20th centuries. This auction is for a rare. Vintage Boosey& Hawkes IMPERIAL model Brass Coach Horn. Manufactured by the world famous English instrument manufacturer Boosey& Hawkes of London. It was purchased in 1938 and has had only one owner. It is made of brass and plated in sterling silver. The horn is made in two sections: a bell section and a lead pipe. These are joined by inserting the lead pipe into the bell section and securing ... morethem with a thumb screw(see photos) When assembled. The instrument is approximately 44 inches in length and pitched in"Bb" which is the traditional pitch of these instruments. In the twentieth century, this type of horn was used to sound the post calls at race tracks. CONDITION It is in very good condition. The silver plating does show signs of wear(see photos) and has worn away in a couple of small patches. But overall it is in very good condition. Please note that in the photo showing the full length of the horn, it appears to be a 8” to 10” that is brown in color. This is a reflection on the silver finish. It is NOT tarnish or wear of the silver plating. The plating is completely intact in this area. There is one small dent in the lower half of the vll section(see 2nd photo) However. It is quite shallow and does not affect the playability of the instrument. The instrument comes with a silver plated brass mouthpiece. This instrument does not come with a case. This is an interesting cabinet card photograph. Probably dating from about 1885. I believe that it is of a Cadet Officer of Norwich University, the great State Military College of Vermont. The photographer is Blanchard of Montpelier, which is the closest town of size to Norwich. The image is excellent in every way. It depicts a young officer in full dress, with a Model 1860 US Staff& Field Officer's sword hanging from his full-dress sword belt. The uniform consists of dark blue coatee and trousers. He is wearing rank shoulder knots. The image was taken in a studio, and he is standing in front of a painted backdrop. There are no marks on the back. Normal 0 Normal 0 PARKER Delux Lady Duofold Streamline Black Fountain Pen ca 1920's Offered is a nicer than usual Lady Duofold button filler fountain pen from the late 1920's in Black. This pen is 4 5/8" 116 mm) long with the cap screwed on. It has quite good color without any of the staining or fading usually found in these pens. There are no cracks. Notable scratches or engravings and no wear to the gold-filled trim. One small dent near the imprint on the barrel which may indeed be part of the imprint. This pen comes fitted with a medium Duofold Deluxe 14K nib with good iridium. A new sac has been installed and the pen is working as it should. The pictures are an important part of the description. Especially as far as condition is concerned. Please look at them closely and ask questions.

Custom Viking Styled Bearded / Battle Axe. Ca 1940 #185
Hi and thanks for looking at this custom made vintage Viking/ Medieval styled Battle Axe. The carbon steel head is in excellent condition with no defects. It has been custom shaped by myself. Cleaned, treated and polished to make the lovely patina pop against the polished steel, but just the ravages of time have given it the beautiful markings. The bit has been given an arm hair popping cutting edge sharp enough to slice paper! The long ergonomic handle is custom hand shaped from Seasoned Beech and with a nice straight grain. Naturally coloured, treated with Teak Oil and polished with Beeswax for a superior grip and shine; then fixed with a wooden and steel wedge. The sheath is made from thick premium tooling Hide. This is a tough supple leather, coloured and treated to aid waterproofing and is fixed with steel rivets.
