CIVIL WAR NAVY OFFICER WAIST BELT PLATE - CA. 1852-1861 PRODUCT OF AMES MFG CO.
Offered is a pre-Civil War period(Ca. 1852-1861) Navy Officer's belt plate. This plate was designed for a high ranking officer as noted on the embellishment of the piece. This plate is found in Kerksis book figure 597 as a Regulation Pattern Navy Officer waist belt plate. This plate matches exactly to the pattern drawings in the 1852 regulations. This plate is also believed to be a product of the Ames Mfg. Co which marketed a number of similar plates combining state and militia motiffs. I wish I had the wreath part but it is long gone. It is interesting to note that Kerksis example is a dug plate. This one is not. He also goes on to say that this type of plate is not a"common" style. It does not have the 2-function knob which controls the station selection as well as the volume. I do not have this 2-part knob. So I am selling it. Anyone who has or can get this missing knob can enjoy the radio. Also. I could not get the alarm function to work. There are 2 short cracks on the right edge and a few scratches. I will start the bidding as if it were a parts radio as it has 6 tubes. A good speaker, and 2 I-F transformers, a good power transformer, 2 very nice clock knobs which are in good condition, and a clean variable capacitor among other good parts. This piece features the Pfaltzgraff signature Brushed Tulip design- it is bold, perfectly executed and quite flawless. The impressed stamp on the shoulder reads: PFALTZGRAFF& CO. YORK, PA. and dates this piece to around 1870. There are additional Cobalt accents on the upper and lower handle terminals. There are some blemishes"in the making" a few age-appropriate dings on the base and spout; otherwise in mint overall condition. WALNUT ca. 1900 MISSION STACKING FILE FILING CABINET VARIETY OF DRAWERS
Folks, here is a very RARE early 1900's AMERICAN Mission'Arts and Crafts' era stacking filing cabinet with a large variety of drawers! I believe the wood is walnut or possibly mahogany with an extra dark walnut finish. The stepback crown decal says"C.F. Roth Sales Co. Office Furniture Chicago" The overall dimensions are 34" wide. 26" deep and 56" high. The top drawers inside measurements are 30 3/4" wide. 4 1/2" high and 22 1/2" deep. The card files are 5" wide. 3 3/4" high and 22 1/2" deep and have the sliding compression panels. The three flat files are 2 1/2" high. 30 3/4" wide AND 22 1/2' deep. The two extra large legal files are 14 3/4- wide. 10 1/4" high and 22 1/2" deep. All drawers slide beautifully. The whole cabinet is solid as a rock. For your consideration. I am presenting a Pristine Ca 1930-1940 Hand Hooked Wool on Burlap Chair or Table Mat. It has a Bright, Vivid Colored Pattern on a Neutral Taupe background. One only has to think of the time and effort that someone so lovingly put into this beautiful piece. I do in fact collect hand hooked mats and rugs. Pieces like this do so much to dress up a small or large piece of furniture if you just add a chamber stick, oil lamp, or any other antique decorative item. This awesome piece of beach glass was collected from the shores of Bellingham Bay. WA. It measures about 2 5/8" long. And is beautifully weathered. This piece is part of an antique filter rod for a coffee brewer. I have pasted the results of the google patent search used to identify this object. It is suitable for use in art and collection. I would have liked to include a link to google's patent search which shows this item and it's patent. However ebay, in it's typically interfering fashion, has forbidden such links in listings. My apologies for this inconvienience. The patent number is clearly embossed. The cup has a minor spot on the bottom and a couple of minor spots on the rim. The item is price accordingly. The saucer has some hairlines as well. There is a little s taining so considering th at th is set is 1 6 0 years ol d that is remarkable! The cup stands 3" tall and is 3 1/2" across the top. The saucer is 6" in width.
