It's running the most current(and only) firmware(v1.3) for it, don't try to flash it with the new generation ones, you will just kill this unit. It basically uses off-the-shelf hardware in a 1U rack-mount chassis. This would be great in a data-center as those small fans are LOUD. I included a screen-shot from the web interface menu so you can verify it's working properly and see there is a current date of operation.
