Antique 'Honest Banker' Country Store Counter Top Small Roll Top Desk Wood
This'Honest Banker' Small Roll Top Desk came out of an old country store here in rural WV that has long been closed. It was used on the old store counter along with a small display case its size. The roll works well and it has a desk area inside along with cubby holes to hold receipts and papers. It is not perfect and has scratches and dings consistant with years of use. The finger hold on the roll is well worn. There is one chip out down the left side beside the roll. None of this detracts from this very old country primitive item. I do not know the wood but the roll looks like oak. I don't think the desk is oak. The wood has a reddish brown color. The brass plate at the bottom has'Honest Banker' Desk measures 20 1/2" across. 15" wide and 10 1/2" tall. I think you will like this country store item.

2 working but damaged Alpha Spectra NAI(T1) scintillators with 2 1/4" dia. X 3" long crystals + 1 salvaged crystal and 1 smaller 11/2" dia. X 2 1/2" long crystal. The 2 working scintillators have some physical damage but work quite well with no light leakage in damaged areas. One shown without back cover which is included but not shown in photos. The larger crystal has slight damage to the face and still has attached glass from broken PMT also shows slight yellowing but salvageable and still able to work somewhat below par. The smaller crystal has no damage to the face and also has broken glass with slight yellowing to the crystal still usable. I don't know if the glass cover is original to the this jar or not but it does seem to be a good fit with just a little play. The cover has a lip that fits around the outside edge of the top rim of the jar(please see photo) There are lots of air bubbles in the jar; it looks like there are hundreds of very tiny air bubbles throughout the glass. Giving it a speckled look. The cover also has air bubbles. The jar looks like it has a seam around it near the bottom. This Planters jar and cover are in overall nice condition. Vintage Gasoline Tank Wagon Door Counter Antique Automobilia Phillips 66
This is a door counter for a bulk delivery truck from the 1920's. This counter came from the Oswald Oil Company of Longford Kansas that was established in 1923 and was the local Phillips 66 gasoline distributor. The station closed in the early 1970's after fifty years in business. This counter was mounted on the inside of the rear compartment. Gasoline was delivered to rural customers five gallons at a time carried from the bulk delivery truck to the customer's storage container. This counter is how the operator kept track of the number of trips he made delivering the fuel. The operator tripped the counter lever when he filled a delivery can. This counter is made of brass and was manufactured by the J. F. Roberts Company of REA Mo. It does still work and is all original. It is in excellent shape.
