I bought this a couple of years ago and used it for a little while. When I first purchased it I sent it in to Bethlehem Mfg. and had the center fire replaced with a new one. All the gaskets changed and new knobs put on and the face of the torch machined or"scraped" or"ground" smooth and clean. a $300 service) The torch has a manufacture date of 03/13/89 and is serial numbered 330. This is a great work-horse torch and rages super hot and has a very nice pinpoint flame as well. The center fire and outer fire are controlled separately but it does not have the four port manifold for the fuel and oxygen, just the two port. I made a home made water cooler from copper tubing, a copper sleeve which fits over torch and a fountain style water pump(hydroponics pump) which is included in the auction along with the water hoses and ... moresome hose clamps though you may need to buy some more hose clamps at hardware store. Bucket for water is NOT included in auction. I had read a thread on a glassblowing forum which suggested plugging 8 of the ports on the torch because they are too close together and burn with a brighter orange flame. So I plugged them but have unplugged them for the auction. I managed to remove 7 of the eight plug wires from the ports but was unable to unplug one of them because I couldn't get the wire out, you can see the remaining wire in torch face photo at about the 2 o'clock position. I suggest having them plugged by someone who knows how to do the mod properly. The one plugged port does not affect the performance of the torch it still works great as you can see in the pictures. This is a great torch for boro or soft glass and will easily melt large diameter rods and you can make 2" to 3" marbles and even larger sculptures. The center fire works great for detail work or smaller soft glass beads.
