Nice Antique Chelsea Clock Co. Holosteric Barometer Thermometer. The back is marked Chelsea Clock Co. Boston USA. It is also marked Patented Dec 31 1901 No. 689899. Also marked 1130 on back. The Glass Front un screws off the front of the dial. It is not hinged on like the newer ones. The threads are all good. The Glass Is cracked. Repeat. The GLASS HAS A CRACK through the center of it from one end to the other but is stable. You can see how the glass is held in by brass splines so I am sure someone could replace the glass. It is about 8 1/2 inches wide from wheel spoke to wheel spoke and is about 3 1/4 inches tall from bottom to top of glass cover. The dial is marked Made in France. Please ask questions before bidding. This is a 70's Verichron Thermometer 14" x 6" with Fahrenheit measurements. This particular thermometer is adorned with Ships Inn 1775 on the hand carved Oak back. This is a vintage piece so there is minor signs of wear. The gold toned chrome has rubbed off slightly on the bottom side of the dial housing and the top side has dulled a little. Overall. This thermometer is in good shape with plenty of life left in it.

Please. Look carefully at pictures for condition it is the thermometer you will receive! Up for sale is this working Advertising Thermometer from Joliet Glass& Paint Co. Inc. It measures about 4.75" high at its highest point x 4.50" at its widest. The thermometer is 3" in diameter. The base measures about 2.75" x 4" It does seem to keep the correct temperature so I think it works just fine. It obviously is missing one of the parts of the helm. It says Joliet Glass& Paint Co. Inc. Joliet 5344. Because of the phone number Joliet 5344 I think it is probably from the 1920's but may be earlier? This is a vintage/antique ship's Schatz Barometer/Thermometer set in a wooden ship's wheel. It has the beveled glass over the face. There's a very small discolored spot/place close to the top on the face right above the letter'F' in'FAIR' It's not real big but wanted to mention. Also, on the back, there's some surface type rust at the bottom of the metal back. When I purchased it, it wasn't set correctly. The small metal tab on the back will slide over so you can adjust it. So, I adjusted it and it seems to be working. It measures, including the ship's wheel it is set in, approximately 13 1/2 inches. On the back side on one of ... morethe wood pieces, there's a small place where it has maybe went up against a rough surface and has made a small rough spot a little below the surface. Vintage Brass Barigo German Wall Marine Ships Weather Barometer Thermometer
Up for auction is a wonderful pair of vintage brass Barigo Compensated Barometer and Thermometer. Both are mounted on a walnut wood base. The wooden base has some minor scratches that do not take away from the beauty of the set. To adjust the barometer you have to unscrew it from the base. They measure 3" in diameter x 2 3/4" tall including the base or 1 1/2" tall without the base. There are two holes on the back of the wood to accommodate a nail for hanging on a wall. They also look nice displayed on a table or desk. The brass has a slight patina. Both are in excellent working condition. Manufactured in the 1970s by Fee and Stemwedel Inc. of Chicago, Ill. a company famous for their quality design of precision scientific instruments. It has a great nautical“Ship's Wheel”look with a solid wood base, black metal cases, and silver metal detailing. Each of the gauges, compensated barometer, thermometer, and relative humidity, is covered by a domed glass crystal. The barometer is adjustable on the back to compensate for altitude.
