Vintage Thermometer Holder and Stick Temperature Monitor
This is 2 pieces of medical necessities. They were actually used in a medical facility sometime between 1920 and 1971 and possibly before. The Thermometer Jar was an extra, still in the box that was a reserve. The jar was filled with alcohol, the top put back on and a glass thermometer kept in it. Read for use. It stands 1 1/8 inch by 4 1/2 inches, made by a company called Professionsl Specialities. These were no longer used when the Facility closed in 1971. The other thermometer was used to check the temperature of water for baths or soaks, there was no other way. These are pieces of medical history.
