Vintage Stortz Shock Resistant Thermometer 6685-00-783-5247. Vintage Stortz Shock Resistant Thermometer This is a recent estate sale find. I don't know anything about it! It does seem to work as when I hold it the temp shows going up and it has an adjustment screw on the back. It is a little dirty and has a bit of rust but is a sturdy device. It has a plastic(face which has some scratches.It measures from 20 up to 220 degrees Fahrenheit. It is marked on the face: Stortz IDT-3-24-0-2 and 6685-00-783-5247 and shock resistant. Size is about: 6" long and face is 3" round 1 3/4" at deepest point.
