Vintage Industrial Coca-Cola Bottle Tin Wall Thermometer Coke TCA 1920s/1930s
This vintage Coca-Cola thermometer was made by TCA and features a Fahrenheit scale which is ruled on both sides. These types of wall thermometers were popular in the 1920s and 1930s for stores to display to promote the newly standardized shapely Coke bottles. The thermometer is about 16 1/2" tall. 5" wide, and sticks out about 1" from the wall. There is some rust and crackle-finish on the body and paint, as you might expect for an item of its age. The neck is slightly flattened, but it still looks good on a wall. The thermometer is intact. Bulbs are not included unless specified. I also have a wonderful selection of other industrial artifacts. Up for auction is a vintage industrial style signed Duro scientific thermometer recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition, in a metal case, brass tubular sleeve and with a glass front. The metal does not attract a magnet. It measures temperatures from 30- 240 degrees fahrenheit. The mercury looks good. There is no hanging mechanism. Overall size, including the copper stem measures approximately 10 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 1" in size. Nice for reuse or repurposing.
