Vintage TRERICE 30 to 230 degree(F) industrial thermometer manufactured in Detroit. Michigan. The housing is stainless and measures 10-1/2" L) x 2-1/4" W) I found this in my uncle's garage and have no idea how old it is. The glass is clear/intact and the thermometer seems to be functioning properly. The stainless housing has some surface rust spots/nicking on the top and sides, but is otherwise clean and dent free(may simply need polishing) The back of the housing is painted black and is a bit nicked up. There is a silver nut that spins freely and a copper tube that extends through the nut/back of the housing(roughly 4" long) I am not a business; just trying to offload personal items accumulated over the years. Offered here is a very fine VINTAGE INDUSTRIAL OR MACHINE THERMOMETER MANUFACTURED BY CRANE COMPANY OF PHILADELPHIA. PA. THIS ACCURATE THERMOMETER PROBABLY ATTACHED TO THE MACHIVE VIA THREADS AT THE BOTTOM END. A brass sensor part at the bottom then registered the temperature of the machine which inturn caused the mercury in the glass vial to rise. This thermometer measures temperature from 35 degrees to 300 degrees. The thermometer is made of porcelain covered metal. Iron, and brass. It measures 10 inches in length by about 1-1/2 inches in width. The temperature appears to be accurately displayed on the scale when I tested it in hot-boiling water. Overall, it is in very fine condition and it would have many interesting uses around the home or shop. See photos for additional details. here is a very neat old industrial thermometer. Manufactured by The Fred W. Wolf Co. In Chicago. Very nice tin litho dial with nickel plated movement in the center. With a reflective diamond plate back. This would look really cool all polished up. The glass is broken, but that's an easy fix. It is a bit on the heavy side with the back being cast iron. Measures about 10 inches across and 4 inches thick with the fitting on the backside.

Dimensions: Overall Length: 100cms. Gauge 13cms in diameter. Wooden handle 10 cms Condition: Very good vintage condition considering that this piece is over one hundred years old. The painted wooden handle has a split(crack) in it but is still very stable and secure. Brass gauge housing is in very good condition as is the steel rod. The glass cover has some minor scratches and the temperature dial has some yellowing and crazing. This thermometer reads from 30 to 240 deg. F. As you can see in the photo it is reading about 84 degrees which is the temperature here in Riverview Fl. Today. Photos show markings on lamp.
