Is a really neat old press manufactured by a great American company founded in 1852 and still in business! This is a very old. Perhaps one of the original number 405 Stimson presses in apparent very good working condition. Unlike the other number 405 presses sold on eBay, this appears to be much older with EDWIN B STIMPSON COMPANY BROOKLYN N.Y. cast into the one side and 405 MANUFACTURERS OF RIVETS EYELETS& WASHERS cast into the opposing side. It moves up and down very freely and I see no apparent wear so this looks to be a perfectly usable press. There appears to be two threaded holes on either side of the vertical shaft that perhaps held grease fittings. I am no expert on this type of tool so please feel free to ask any pertinent questions. I would guess this dates to the late 1800's.
