Singer 15-91 "Industrial" Heavy Duty Sewing Machine Leather Canvas Direct Drive
LOADED Singer 15-91 serial number AH902178(1948) Comes with pictured attachments. PLUS the zig zag attachment and extra cams for it. The paper manual is there for reference only. This machine does a great straight stitch with reverse and DIRECT DRIVE(aka potted motor) IT IS THE SMOOTHEST 15-91 I HAVE HAD. It has been in the same family since it was purchased new. They took good care of the machine. Replacing the power cord and motor brushes and keeping it properly lubricated. The decals are in decent shape with some pin scratching on the front"Singer" and the leading edge of the bed. Evidently they put their pins on the underside of the pin cloth. As a result. Most of the wear to the finish is on the underside of the arm and not readily noticeable. I did not notice it until I got it home and was cleaning it. You could set it up ... moreas a show piece and few people would notice the wear. If you need to do leather. Canvas, quilting and/or fine cotton this is the machine for you. Super quiet and smooth running when in use. The decals are intact and the paint is not faded. It was deep cleaned. Bobbin tire replaced, a ground wire for the case added, lubricated and the tension set according to the Singer standard. They used two layers of light cotton. Standard mercerized thread and a number 14 needle. I have shown in the pictures example pieces of its stitch quality. It flies through cotton quilt pieces. Handles 8 layers of cotton canvas(with number 69 thread and a number 18 needle) and punches through three layers of leather(almost 3/16" with a little help on the first stitch. Powerful Portable Rebuilt 1949 Singer 15-91 Sewing Machine, 6 Industrial Feet ++
this listing is for a powerful& portable(rebuilt by me) 1949 Singer 15-91 heavy duty-to-industrial sewing machine. this machine has a nice straight& reverse stitch(the feed dogs can be dropped for free motion sewing) And it sews leather easily. using a#110 leather needle(it's still in the machine) i sew tested this machine on 6 layers of black suede leather(it's shown in my pictures along with my pink fabric straight& reverse sew test example.i stuck the new#90 regular sewing needle in the pink sew test) here's what i did: bought a new power cord. Replaced the check spring, replaced the upper spool pin, replaced bobbin winder rubber wheel& adjusted winder, cleaned motor and replaced it's wires, wrapped the wires from the light, cleaned the electrical contacts& those in the foot controller, replaced circular ... moreends for wires that needed it behind the power plug connector on the machine, removed and cleaned tension unit, removed and cleaned most parts in the sewing head, repainted areas where black paint was worn away the sewing bed area) or chipped, cleaned the carrying case& fixed anything that needed it(overall the case is in good condition with no cracked wood, loose fabric or missing parts that i'm aware of) and i cleaned-oiled-adjusted& wound a bobbin on this machine. this machine runs strongly and sews very well now. this machine also comes with 3 bobbins, a bobbin case, 7 presser feet[5 feet not on the machine are heavy duty/industrial feet.only the hemmer foot, the foot currently attached to the machine and the specialty feet are standard items that came with these machines when they were new. they are shown in the user's manuals from the period)all feet shown fit this machine.i tried them all on the presser foot shaft] 2 specialty feet/accessory parts, plus 7 other parts that came with this machine when i purchased it. this machine(without modifications) has an effective sewing project height/range of 1/2" i used#90 needles and#110 leather needles. fo

Singer centurion industrial sewing machine w table house plug in 121d200ba great
Due to the weight of the product pick up only please. This machine was purchased a few years ago from a local seamstress that was closing shop. He had the plug adjusted to fit regular outlets. From what I see it looks like it could be converted back if you wish. The plug in does not have the ground pin anymore. There is a crack in the plastic piece at lever you push to go in reverse please see photo. This is a straight stitch machine that is a beast. The motor is quiet and it stitches smooth. The table is slightly rocky so that is why I use it on carpet. It is old I have no idea about the age. The thread holder attached to the table is rusty but I've always used it and it worked for me. The table shows wear with dents dings chips etc. But I consider it still to be very useable. I can only tell you what I know about the machine. I have ... moreoiled it frequently and it has always sewn nice for me. I of course recommend having it serviced like with any used machine. It was in the barn-high and dry! Its true when they say"things were built better and made to last in the old days" This would be a great project to make a table out of. Everything you see in the pictures is what you get. I took it all apart for easy storing. This was built to last. Both legs alone weigh close to 20lbs. There are no major dents. Super Rare 1951 Centennial Singer 708 Industrial Overlock Sewing Machine
Singer Overlock serial number is AK463122. According to singersewingmachine.com the machine is a 706 class. It was made in a batch of 300 on June 14. 1951 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. According to Singer production numbers there were only 300 of these made in 1951. Compare that to 150,000 of the 221 Featherweights made the same year. I think that alone makes this machine rare. I researched further and checked through other years for production numbers. The only other class 706 machines that I could find was a batch of 100 in 1958 with serial numbers starting with"AM" I don't know if this batch was the same machines as made in 1951, seven years before, but even if they were that would mean only 400 at the most made(that I could find) Singer made hundreds of thousands of machines over the years and to find one that was made in such ... moresmall numbers makes it a super rare machine, at least in my opinion. If anyone can find more evidence of production of these class of machines, please let me know. They resemble the 81 class and I thought maybe they re-named the 81's to 706 class, but they made 81's in 1951, so it doesn't make since that they would make both in the same year. Another thing is the size. I haven't seen one this small before(I took a pic with a can of soda to give a good idea of the size) It's quite small, but still pretty heavy for such a little machine. I would estimate 15-20 pounds. I wouldn't think it was a miniature, but I am not absolutely sure. I bought this at an estate auction. At this auction, they had a collection of more than 60 sewing machines that was owned by one collector. They had 5 or 6 normal size sewing machines and this little 706. The rest were vintage miniature sewing machines. It makes me wonder if this was something that salesmen used as a demo for their industrial clients. This stand does NOT have the treadle-foot present and the buyer could find one online/or elsewhere as a replacement for it(see pics) This heavy cast iron stand has different patent dates in raised iron relief on the frame. The latest patent date is 1887 on the back(inside) of both of the two separate Singer company iron ovals(hallmarks) which read: PATENTED JAN. 4. 1887(see close-up pic provided) remainder of patent dates are in same raised iron relief and are on the front crossbar of frame and read thus: PATENTED FEB'17, 1880 OCT'14, 1884 MAR'17, 1885(see close-yup pic provided) This heavy cast iron sewing machine base is circa ... more1887. It is signed with patent dates as mentioned and also has the lovely Singer Sewing Machine Co. iron oval-shape logos of: a sewing'Shuttle' a slip of thread, and needles-all inside an oval in raised relief(there are two of them-one on either side) which is bordered on botttom with a wreath of leaves, along with the name of the company and it reads: THE SINGER MFG. CO. N.Y. TRADEMARK(see close-up pic provided) A heavy cast iron base which weighs approx. 30 lbs. it will be dismantled for shipping and the buyer will need to reassemble the disassembled pieces-please note this feature. It measures approx. 21.5" long x 21" deep x 28" tall. I think that all the hardware that is present is original(with the exception of cotter pin on one of the 4 base wheels)it may be missing some of its original screws/nuts, it has a damaged piece on the iron frame below the side of the top arm for which I have included a close-up pic of-please see pic. Singer Sewing Machine 1904 You are buying a Vintage Cast Iron Sewing Machine Base. This is the real deal! This is heavy. Please look at all the pictures I have posted. I bought this at a estate sale. It was in the barn-high and dry! Its true when they say"things were built better and made to last in the old days" This would be a great project to make a table out of. Everything you see in the pictures is what you get. I took it all apart for easy storing. This was built to last. Both legs alone weigh close to 22lbs. There are no major dents. There is some paint loss. Its dusty and dingy here and there. It really dusty.There is some rust on one of the legs. This is a older base. The information I found, it was made in 1904. They don't make these any more. Its really a cool piece of history. As you can see in the pictures its really ... morelooks nice. It shows some use, but I think it gives it character. I seen many different version of what people do with them. I ve seen them with a oak-walnut-glass tops. The visionary is endless. This would be a great spring project. Please let me know if you have any questions. Please understand that you will have to assemble this item. I left all the screws attached to the part. It will be like a puzzle to try to put it together.but once done it will display great! Its really easy to put together. This is a heavy item. The size alone with be expensive. It could be used to make a beautiful lamp table, take apart to weld a piece of art, or used to restore your sewing machine back to its original condition. This item is in its original found condition and has not be repainted, serviced, or oiled up.
