This version has a wooden pitman arm. It was was cleaned and repainted about 2 years ago and is still in very good condition! Even the wooden pitman arm was refinished! It is complete and in 100% working order. The flywheel and foot pedal move with ease. The casters on the bottom spin and do not have flat spots. It is slightly dusty in the hard to reach spots. Offering this early 1900's Singer Industrial Sewing Machine model 29-4. This is a heavy duty machine traditionally used by cobblers and for heavy leather work in the industrial era. The cantilever arm and needle have good smooth motion along with the wheel crank. It comes with its original stand which has mounting holes placed for this specific model machine. Please look at the pictures thoroughly(I've included more pictures at the end of this description) The only thing that appears to be missing is the cover plate on the gear access port on one side of the machine. There is no belt. Needle or thread with this. The serial number is H 329367. This is a great old cast iron sewing machine that will probably work forever. Accessories include the leather belt, a ruffler, partial manual, tuck marker, lots of little tools and some needles- all original and found in the drawers. A little bit history: Carl Sieper of Gevelsberg/ Germany created this very special design for a toy sewing machine around 1936. So the children had the chance. To get a toy sewing machine, which is optical like mummies treadle. After the war. The Casige 204/1 gets a front- and a back cover and was sold as Casige 204/2 up to around 1955. T oday. We have the earlier Model 204/1 for sale. The machine you bidding on is a clean example with good colours and only some signs of age on the stitch plate and on the plate of the stand. Otherwise with original needle. Original thread tension with the original knurled nut. Made of brass We can found the typical Casige-eagle and the script“Made ... morein Germany” on the stitch plate!
