It has 2 level surfaces, the lower one holding the machine and the upper sits evenly with the machine bed giving you a nice large sewing surface that's at the correct height for comfortable sewing. Measurements are 37 1/4 inches long overall and 16 1/2 deep from front to back at the narrower end, 22 1/4 inches deep at the wiider end. The wider end is 15 5/8 wide. The lower surface measures 9 1/2 inches deep to the shelf and 21 1/2 inches long. The space from lower surface to the upper surface is 2 3/4 inches. The top surface behind where the machine sits is 6 3/4 inches deep. It's 26 inches from the floor to the lower shelf and 28 7/8 to ... morethe upper surface. I replaced 2 of the 3 gaskets and various screws. I made several adjustments including the feed timing and the machine sews very well as can be witness in the included video. It is from a Singer Treadle Sewing Machine from 1895 and is found with models 15. 27 and VS2. These also have ornate brass drawer pulls. The frames and drawers are solid. The finish has good color. There are aged bumps. Scratches, scuffs and dings. The backs of the drawers are dark and dry. All drawers have ornate brass pulls. They all look aged with some small dings. The top right pull has a small hole on the right top and bottom corners. The extension leaf arm is in good condition. The insides of the drawers are slightly dark. This is an Antique Singer Sewing Machine Drop Leaf Table Extension Cast Iron Support Arm. This mounts on the left side of the left scrolled drawer frame. It is used to hold the extension leaf table in the up position. It mounts to single. Double and triple drawer frames. I have pictured it mounted to a single drawer frame. This would typically be found with a model VS2. 15 or 27 from the 1880's and 1890's. Those styles had machine heads were mounted on top with a bonnet(coffin) to cover it. The heads did not tuck into the cabinets like all newer styles. The original paint has nicks. Scuffs and wear. It is in good working order. The arm measures 5" across the top. This is for an old sewing box made in about the 1940's. The fabric is from that era and all the findings are still in the box as I found them from the estate sale. Including the original gift card from that era. It was a Christmas present from her father and the card is a very large Santa red long john underwear that unfolds in 4 parts. There are buttons. Paper needle cases, buckles, wood spool thread, sequins, 3 packs of google eyes, a crochet angel and a tin container that held them all. There is also a hand written pattern for a bottle cover. Back and arms are padded for sticking pins and needles in. Seat opens to hold sewing equipment and supplies. This machine is all original not a lot of miles and no missing or broken parts. That said I don't see a nicer one listed and haven't seen one for a long time.The belts are ok but the lower small one may need to be replaced if you stitch a lot.
