This no reserve auction is for a good lightly used Revolving Hook& Eyelet Machine made by Sutton Shoe Machinery co. from St Louis. Mo. This press is fresh out of a local estate and was a 1 owner, privately used machine that did not see any type of heavy factory use. I was told by a family member of the estate that the man had made custom prosthetic accys at his home as a side job or hobby. That being said, i really don't think this machine had seen much use. This press is in really nice condition and is a quality professional grade machine. There is hardly any paint loss and there are no breaks or repairs to the heavy cast iron frame. The arm rotates nice and smooth and springs back to its starting position. There are 10 positions on the top turret and 8 on the bottom. Complete with all the dies and punches. This no reserve auction is for a nice clean Model 25 Landis 5 in 1 leather machine. This machine is fresh out of a local estate and is a one owner machine. According to a relative whom I talked to at the auction. The man made custom prosthetic braces and orthopedic products at his home and the machine was purchased new by him. LOADED Singer 15-91 serial number AH902178(1948) Comes with pictured attachments. PLUS the zig zag attachment and extra cams for it. The paper manual is there for reference only. This machine does a great straight stitch with reverse and DIRECT DRIVE(aka potted motor) IT IS THE SMOOTHEST 15-91 I HAVE HAD. It has been in the same family since it was purchased new. They took good care of the machine. Replacing the power cord and motor brushes and keeping it properly lubricated. The decals are in decent shape with some pin scratching on the front"Singer" and the leading edge of the bed. Evidently they put their pins on the underside of the pin cloth. As a result. Most of the wear to the finish is on the underside of the arm and not readily noticeable. I did not notice it until I got it home and was cleaning it. You could set it up ... moreas a show piece and few people would notice the wear. If you need to do leather. Canvas, quilting and/or fine cotton this is the machine for you. Super quiet and smooth running when in use. The decals are intact and the paint is not faded. It was deep cleaned. Bobbin tire replaced, a ground wire for the case added, lubricated and the tension set according to the Singer standard. They used two layers of light cotton. Standard mercerized thread and a number 14 needle. I have shown in the pictures example pieces of its stitch quality. It flies through cotton quilt pieces. Handles 8 layers of cotton canvas(with number 69 thread and a number 18 needle) and punches through three layers of leather(almost 3/16" with a little help on the first stitch. Landis 3 in 1 Leather Machine Shoe Repair Trimmer Skiver Cutter Cobbler
This no reserve auction is for an older used Landis 3 in 1 Leather trimmer skiver machine. I do not see a model number on the manufacturers plate. Just a serial number 16056. This machine had been sitting in storage and could use a cleaning, no damaging rust had formed so it was in good proper storage. This has a 12" throat with adjustable stop. It cranks over nice and smooth with no binding, the only damage i see is the top cutter guard or guide has a chip out of it. There is also a machined area under the bottom cutter with a screw hole, i do not know if something is missing there. Other than those 2 minor issues, i see no breaks or repairs, the cutter feels like it should be able to cut yet but may soon need a sharpening. This is a little heavier than the 5 in 1 i had listed, this weighs 50 lbs. SINGER 241-12 Sewing Machine Vintage Sewing Machine 1/2 hp 3450rpm Tacsew clutch motor from the early 80's More modern table then you might see attached to these machines normally Came from a recently closed down Tailor shop. Selling for close friends. Always taken well care of& professionally maintained. The 241-12 is a medium duty machine with 5/16 presser foot lift so 1/4 inch is about the best you can expect it to sew. This is a factory machine designed for sewing denim and other heavys. The-13 was a little heavier with a little higher lift but the-12 is good. Note the pressure feed system. This machine was rated at about 4000 spm all day and could very well be setup to do that. I have seen one with a 2hp 3450 rpm clutch motor. That kind of machine you definitely don't want. It would cost too much to make it what you need, ... morehowever one that does a controllable speed would be a keeper if it does what you need. You won't be able to find a 16 X 257 needle with a leather point, but a regular sharp point will work for the most part, ball points aren't that great though. A 21 is about the maximum needle size and will do 92 or 135 thread, use an 18 for 69 thread. Keeping the other 3 machines from their shop. Getting rid of this one because they need space in their garage for the winter. So has been sitting in my climate controlled warehouse for 4 years. When I bought out an orthopedic laboratory at the regional VA hospital in North Texas. The VA bought enough machines, tools and materials to start up a first class orthopedic and prosthetic laboratory, but didn't know what to do with it. Those hopes were soon abandoned, pushed into the back of the building and forgotten. I would bet that this machine has less than 50 hours on it. One wheel was still tied up from shipping and had never be utilized. It was so far out of adjustment. I would be surprised if they really ever used it. I brought it into my shop, adjusted it until it was tracking and working perfectly when my newest machine arrived.
