Don't even look at this machine.If you're not ready for heavy duty sewing lol. This machine area very well. From chiffon to leather. It will take up to size 20 needle. This sewing machine is a clone of an old singer 15 class machine. It was built in Japan.And the parts are interchangeable. Cosmetically very nice for its age. I bought this machine to reupholster my sofa, and it worked well. This machine weighs about 35-40lbs. I have found a portable case for it. But really should be in a table Great work horse machine

The model BU is one of the more popular models of the Necchi brand being a zigzag model which also has the left/center/right needle positions. vintage antique SINGER class 7 sewing machine circa 1918 heavy duty industrial
From an estate sale. A Singer Class 7 heavy duty industrial sewing machine for canvas and leather, made about 1918. Biggest sewing machine I've ever dealt with. I'm not sure what kind of 7 it is- the only way I found that much(and the date of manufacture) out was by looking the serial number up on the singer serial number database but that only gives the class. I'm not a sewing person of any sort, much less heavy duty stuff, so I'm not super knowledgable. I did do some googling and found that there were apparently a lot of different sub-models of the class 7. I'm hoping some of you folks in the trade can tell from the configuration of the feet and stuff. It comes with a 110volt WMS clutch motor(400 watts is about 1/2 horse I think) 6 extra needles, and a box of heavy thread. The machine itself seems to be in very good ... moreshape. When I first got it in the warehouse I plugged it in and hit the foot pedal to engage the clutch, and the needle did it's thing for a good 10 seconds or so, and then gradually slowed and stopped. I think the machine needs oiling- I can turn it by hand easily enough but it seems to be just a bit too much for the motor. I dropped a few drops of 3-in-1 oil in the labeled oil ports but it probably needs gone over everywhere and well oiled up. Those orange ratchet straps were to give it lateral stability during transport- the table itself has no cross-bracing- and I'll leave them there for shipping, so you'll get a couple ratchet straps out of the deal too. This thing will go freight(well crated) And I should be able to get it to any business address with loading dock or forklift, in the continental US, for $400 OR LESS. If you operate from your home, it might be more economical for you to pick it up at the local depot, as residential and liftgate delivery can add up to $150. Union Special Model 80600F Sewing Machine Bag Closing Industrial Heavy Duty
Union Special Model 80600F industrial sewing machine. Originally made for closing cloth or jute bags etc. I believe the 80000 series machines have also been used for carpet serging and other applications, but do not know if this machine can be adapted to such purposes. The 80000 series is still offered by Union Special. This machine appears to have had moderate use from the overall wear and condition. I would say the mechanical condition is very good; little if any play in the'conrod' bearing. Quite clean inside except where dust has entered through open areas, probably mostly during long storage. With the needle'shaft' at full extension I can feel almost no play in it it when trying to wiggle it from side to side. There is some light rust on some exposed steel surfaces. Which would be easily removed with a fine rotary wire ... morewheel; easy for me at least! We could discuss doing that here if the buyer wishes) There appears to be one end cover missing. But parts are available from Union Special or other suppliers. The manual for this machine is available for download on the internet. Personally I would use carb cleaner and compressed air to blow out the dust that has stuck to the oily surfaces and then lubricate. With the steel surfaces cleaned. The machine is probably ready to use as is. Please remember that I am not an expert on this type of thing, but I do have enough mechanical sense and observational skill to tell as much as I have here. This will need to be packed in a wooden crate. And bolted to the bottom of the crate using the existing mounting bolt holes, with internal bracing if required. Singer 15-91 "Industrial" Heavy Duty Sewing Machine Leather Canvas Direct Drive
LOADED Singer 15-91 serial number AH902178(1948) Comes with pictured attachments. PLUS the zig zag attachment and extra cams for it. The paper manual is there for reference only. This machine does a great straight stitch with reverse and DIRECT DRIVE(aka potted motor) IT IS THE SMOOTHEST 15-91 I HAVE HAD. It has been in the same family since it was purchased new. They took good care of the machine. Replacing the power cord and motor brushes and keeping it properly lubricated. The decals are in decent shape with some pin scratching on the front"Singer" and the leading edge of the bed. Evidently they put their pins on the underside of the pin cloth. As a result. Most of the wear to the finish is on the underside of the arm and not readily noticeable. I did not notice it until I got it home and was cleaning it. You could set it up ... moreas a show piece and few people would notice the wear. If you need to do leather. Canvas, quilting and/or fine cotton this is the machine for you. Super quiet and smooth running when in use. The decals are intact and the paint is not faded. It was deep cleaned. Bobbin tire replaced, a ground wire for the case added, lubricated and the tension set according to the Singer standard. They used two layers of light cotton. Standard mercerized thread and a number 14 needle. I have shown in the pictures example pieces of its stitch quality. It flies through cotton quilt pieces. Handles 8 layers of cotton canvas(with number 69 thread and a number 18 needle) and punches through three layers of leather(almost 3/16" with a little help on the first stitch.
