Singer Touch & Sew Deluxe 629 Heavy Duty Industrial Strength Sewing Machine
As shown. Tested and working well but please note there are a couple issues. The plastic socket that the lightbulb would screw into has cracked and so will need to be replaced if you would like the light to work. Also the plastic base plate the machine sits on has warped a bit over time and does not fit tight, this can be seen in the photos and in no way affects the functionality of the machine. I can't find any other issues except for the fact the machine has yellowed a bit from age in a few places, this can also be seen in the photos. This Model 158.15250 is a very heavy duty and easy to use machine that is lightly used and will last you many. Many years. It looks really nice and is very, very clean- sews perfectly. This is a free arm/ convertible/ table top machine- very desirable for hemming cuffs. Etc. It has all metal gears so you can sew heavy materials without fear of ruining them. It also has a powerful 1.0 amp motor. It uses the low shank presser feet which are common and very easy to find additional feet if you need them. This machine comes with a universal/combination/zigzag foot which will do most any sewing. It's been lubed. Tested, and is ready to do your projects. Do some research on the Singer 306W and you will see that folks praise it for being a workhorse, able to sew leather, denim, strapping, upholstery material- while still able to sew fine fabrics also. This mid-century machine uses the Singer flat cam system. Comes with the#1 zig-zag cam, and I am including the#3 blind hemming cam, many folks say that is the most useful of the specialty stitches. We have only used it once since we got it. But everything seems to be working perfectly. The belt seems to still have lots of life left in it(see pics) The machine can swivel off of the base for storage underneath(pretty nice! see pics. See pics for condition. Everything in pictures is included. The plastic base and cover have a few small cracks.the latches of the cover are intact but do not seem to grip the case. Early Antique Singer Cobbler Sewing Machine Model 29 Made in 1 891 Serial No. 10420358 This industrial quality sewing machine is fresh from a local estate. This heavy duty machine was popular for it’s dependable use in sewing light leather and cobbler or shoe making and repair. This model sewing machine is still used today for harness repair. Horse saddle work and light leather work. It’s a very sturdy and versatile machine with the needle being able to rotate in a 360 degree rotation. This machine has not been hooked up to power but with normal hand rotation of the wheel we can see the machine operating properly and the bobbin under that spinning like it should. The upper lever does move needle up an down as desired with another lever moving the needle around in a 360 degree fashion. Although the machine does not come with a needle. The ... moremachine moves freely and appears to operate like it should but we have not hooked this up to a power source or stitched any leather of fabric with it. It would likely need a tune up. There is some paint loss evident in places in the black paint and wear to the gold lettering in places from normal use over the years. VINTAGE SINGER SEWING MACHINE 29K SERIES INDUSTRIAL HEAVY DUTY COMMERCIAL
I have other machines listed and more on the way. This is a heavy duty sewing machine the nice feature on this one is the hand wheel can also be put on the shaft sticking out the side for easier operation. This is very old and has been used but anybody looking at this knows they last forever and still used for heavy duty sewing. This one comes just as you see it with what you see on it. I would say it needs a good cleaning and lube job. The wheel can be turned all the way around but it does get hard to move when the arm is in the farthest position of its pattern. I don't repair these but think if you know what you are doing this would be an easy fix. This is model 29K31.
