Precision built, very powerful with its 1.2 amp motor, made to last a lifetime. It's a strong straight stitch- zigzag with reverse feed sewing. The feed dog can be easily dropped for freehand sewing. Darning, silk and quilting. With this machine you can sew lightweight, medium, heavy weight and extra heavy fabrics, has stitch length& width levers, will sew multiple layers of denim, Home or Marine upholstery and canvas, garment leather is no problem either. My sewed samples consist of 4 layers of leather and 4 layers of denim, sewed them with such ease and nice clean tight stitches it amazed me. It uses standard 15x1 needles. Up for auction is a Vintage Canadian Singer 15-91 Sewing Machine with extras! This is the first Canadian machine that I have owned. I am not saying they are super rare. But there are definitely not as many of these around. This listing is for the machine, foot pedal and power cord, Singer Buttonholer with case and instruction manual, Box of Singer attachments including extra feet, ruffler attachment, 10 total bobbins and Singer owners manual. There is no machine case included in the listing. The machine(serial number JC752610) was built in the St. Johns. Newfoundland, Canada factory. I used the machine to hem some jeans and the motor powered right through the denim. The direct drive motor with steel gears makes the 15-91 one of Singers most popular machines. It doesn't have a belt, so you don't have to worry about belt slipping or ... morereplacement. It will sew denim, leather, polyester and more! It seems that everything on the machine works as it should including the on-board work light. I installed a brand new power cord/pedal cord and oiled the machine. The machine doesn't come with hinges to mount the machine in a table, but they are readily available. Appearance of the machine: The black paint is shiny and looks good in the pictures. But it does have some normal/scratches/blemishes in the paint that may not show up well in my pictures. The gold decals are in great condition. We are auctioning this Toyota heavy duty industrial strength straight stitch- reverse sewing machine. Made in Japan, in the 1950s. These sewing machine models are all-steel geared, precision built very powerful super smooth running, made to last a lifetime. It's a strong straight stitch. Reverse feed sewing. The feed dog can be easily dropped for freehand sewing, darning, silk, quilting. With this machine you can sew lightweight, medium& heavy weight fabrics, will sew multiple layers of denim, vinyl and canvas, garment leather is no problem either. My sewed samples consist of 4 layers of leather and 10 layers of denim, sewed them with ease and nice clean tight stitches, very nice one owner machine in good condition, has visible scuffs on the deck. I used the machine to sew through 6 layers of black denim and it powered right through. The direct drive motor with steel gears makes the 15-91 one of Singers most popular machines. It doesn't have a belt, so you don't have to worry about belt slipping or replacement. It will sew denim, leather, polyester ... moreand more! It seems that everything on the machine works as it should including the on-board work light. I installed a brand new power cord/pedal cord and oiled the machine.
