As you see it has the window which shows the stitch length selected. It goes in forward and reverse. No zig zag, just your basic WORK HORSE. It has a feed dog adjustor and goes from high to low. It has a light and a foot pedal which is a lighter blue and not metallic. It is wired into the machine so I assume it to be original. It has a Champion 1.0 motor and it runs strong. Singer Class 7-33 sewing machine with reverse, Sew heavy canvas and leather!
Up for grabs is a used. Singer Class 7-33 Sewing machine. According to the ISMACS webpage it's Serial number, AP3924XX puts it as being manufactured around October, 1965 as part of a batch of 200 machines. At some point in it's life it has had a reverse kit installed to allow backstitching, the oil cup removed, If one was ever installed, doubtful due to MFG. date. and other modifications. The thickest material I've ever sewed with this machine is 1/2 inch. 1/2" is also the max throat size as it is currently set up. As you can see in the pictures, using V346 nylon thread I've sewn 10 layers of nylon webbing, and 4 layers of leather to show what it is capable of, other than that it did rather light duty sewing seams together in heavy canvas. Motor is 115V 1/2 HP Single Phase. It does come with a dust cover. 5 spare bobbins, ... more11 spare needles and a"reprint" of the original Singer manual, class7 without reverse. I have never had any problems out of this machine the time that I've owned it, However it has spent the last 5 months sitting stored in a corner of my house, taking up space and being of no use to anyone so it could use a good oiling and a once over before any serious use. Hello kitty sticker has been removed from the machine since the picture was taken. Please note that I had this machine up earlier for 2500.00 OBO. Here is a true. Heavy duty, industrial, chain stitch, sewing machine. A Singer 240 k 13 made in Great Britain. Used in an old glove factory, until it closed. It is truly a mighty mite- you'll notice the six inch ruler in the picture. It is easily half the size of a regular home model sewing machine. It's convenient size makes it easier to mount and move. A Chain-Stitch(pictured) and to do it well! It's simplicity is it's strong point. Fewer moving parts. They are unique as they use only one top thread- no bottom bobbin. Just a simple well timed looping shuttle beneath which grabs the needle thread as it travels through the fabric to ... moremake the stitch. This is also a self oiling machine. Meaning you fill the body with oil and it cares for it's own moving parts, the oil level is seen through the glass indicator(pictured) Now, this one is in good used condition with minor signs of age and wear, it has been well cleaned and oiled in the cleaning process but it will need to be oiled and filled when you receive it, as we can not send it full and dripping of oil in the mail. As an industrial/ factory model sewing machine it is capable of sewing just about anything you can throw at it with the proper thread and thread tensioning. This is a belt driven machine. Which means it needs a horizontal shaft motor with a pulley, to run- these can vary somewhat in size, in proportion to the jobs you are likely to be doing. The motor can be mounted below or above a table and connected to a variable speed foot pedal, or, on an actual industrial table there is a pedal that disengages the motor pulley from the belt but that takes it's own kind of motor. This model 99 Singer is an ugly duckling on the outside. But once it begins to sew, it turns into a beautiful swan. This thing sews some of the best stitches I have ever seen, and not only through regular material, but even through suede leather. Better still, it is so heavy duty that it will sew through 4 LAYERS of suede! Read that again, 4 layers of suede leather! Can your machine do that? I doubt it, but this swan of a machine sure can, and I'll send along the swatches so you will have no doubt about its capabilities. Now just because this isn't the prettiest machine you ever saw doesn't mean it is mechanically ugly. It has solid metal gears. And they don't really look all that worn. How do I know? VTG HEAVY DUTY KENMORE 12 STITCH SEWING MACHINE & Case 158-13520 Zig Zag Leather
Up for auction is a heavy duty Kenmore 12 Stitch sewing machine. Model 158-13520, with its original plastic case and foot pedal(no manual though) It's made of solid metal(including all of the gears inside) which apparently allows it to sew through leather, denim, upholstery and other heavy materials. It is in very good cosmetic condition-very clean inside and out with only minor marking on the paint. It is missing one of the spool holders on the top of the machine. The foot pedal and cord are also in very good condition. The case has a few marks. But is otherwise quite sturdy(no cracks or anything) In terms of functionality. I have to admit that I have never used a sewing machine in my life(I'm so ashamed) so I can't say for sure. I tested it without thread. And it powered up and the light came on. When I stepped on the pedal, ... morethe needle went up and down in various patterns and speeds depending on what the dial on top was set to. Singer Industrial Sewing Machine Model 31-20 For Leather and Heavy Materials
Hi. You are viewing a Singer Industrial Model 31-20 Sewing Machine. It was designed for heavier materials though it can sew the lighter materials fine. I have customized this machine to accommodate thicker materials by raising the foot up to 1/2 inch lift. See picture 9. The two items pictured that I have sewn with it are belt weight leather that are three pieces thick(about 1/4 inch) and four pieces thick(about 3/8 inch) See picture 10. Thicker material just under 1/2 inch can be sewn with the operator helping the wheel along. I added a new 1.3 amp electric motor(picture 4) and a light(pictures 6 and 8) that includes the foot pedal and extension cord that I lengthened. I do a lot of leather work but I have other sewing machines to use. I have included a complete set of accessories to get you ready to start making money with this machine: ... morespools of size 69 nylon thread in white, brown and black, two bobbin holders, twelve bobbins, a screw driver, scissors, a zipper foot, an adjustable edge foot, an adjustable edge marker, about twelve size 20 wedge tip leather needles, and about 25 size 19 triangle tip leather needles. SAFE machine: Good wiring is essential for full performance in a 15-91 The biggest problem with 15-91's is that the motor grease gets on the motor wires and destroys the insulation. Mostly up high where it is hard to see, or heat on the old insulation makes it brittle and crumbling. You have to pull the motor housing off the machine to inspect it and if necessary completely rewire it. Before you purchase make sure the motor wires have been checked closely and replaced if necessary as I do with all of mine. If any seller says their machine has"new wiring" ask for a close up picture of all the wiring. Some are claiming"new wiring" but all they have replaced is the power cord. Be cautious. The 15-91 is a gear driven. All metal machine one of the best straight stitch machine S inger ever made.
