Vintage Heavy Duty SINGER 15-91 Industrial Sewing Machine w/ Extra Feet Button
~~~Singer~~~~ Here is a nice old Singer Sewing machine. I have done some research on this and the serial number dates this to 1951 and believe this is model 15-91. I've taken this to a man who has repaired sewing machines for 30+ years and this has been tested. But he didn't think it needed any work, aside from oiling, which has not been done. The motor runs strong and the action looks good on the needle, flywheel, etc. We did not sew fabric with this, but I understand that this model is considered a workhorse and was a very good machine that there is a huge following for. This is built solid and weighs almost 29# for the machine alone, before boxing. Machine could possibly need oiling, which I have not done; this runs as it is, however, it does not come with a regular foot pedal. This was removed for a drop-in case and the wires ... moredetach to wind down the case, which has foot bar attached. I suppose I could try to disassemble that, but this would be best suited for someone with a case with similar electrical set-up. Light works and this motor is strong. The sewing machine comes with some extra foot attachments which are shown closer in one pic.I see a ruffler. Edge foot, possibly a zipper foot and some I have never used. Also comes with buttonhole accessory with green case and extra templates, which is not shown in photo. This is a short shank machine and a drop-in cabinet style. It does not sit flat on a kitchen table and is shown with the hinged pieces here that go on the sewing table it came out of. I forgot to take them off of the table and they really are not included since they ought to stay with the table. Table itself is probably 1960's and blonde wood in fair condition. It has a couple of drawers and would work fine for this, but I hesitate to post this with table, since shipping $$$ will appear excessive. If you're interested, please email and can send info/pix. This is a vintage Singer Sewing Machine Model 15-91. Serial#AJ42656, does not include a cabinet or case. It is a direct drive machine and does not require a belt which gives it full industrial strength when sewing. It is a very strong machine. A sewing test was made on 8 layers of a napped upholstery fabric and 6 layers of a heavy canvas. It is a straight stitch machine, 6 to 30 stitches per inch with reverse. It has been oiled and lubed. You will receive 2 bobbins, foot control and the original manual.

It still works and everything moves smoothly. This one is in very nice shape for its age and still looks good cosmetically as well as working. I've never seen one with a tag like this and this is the only one on ebay. Whether you collect or use them the rare ones you have to get when you see them or regret it when they're gone.
