Antique Industrial Singer Double Needle Post Sewing Machine 52W100
This machine has been sitting around and needs a home. I have not run it at speed on a table with motor but it sews both needles turnning it by hand. It shines because it was sprayed with a protective liquid wax to prevent rust. It has wear spots in the finish in spots from use. The gears are in good shape and it rolls nice. It may need some fine tunning to run perfect but it is in good mechanical shape. I hate to sell it but I don't have a use for it in my upholstery shop and it would be better for it to get used. 1/8" guage. Nice clean bobbin caps. Good hooks. Tarahumara Indian Tribe Pine Needle and Bear Grass Double Weave Basket
This is a very nice small hand woven basket made by the women of the Tarahumara Indian Tribe of Copper Canyon. Sierra Madre, Mexico. The baskets are woven using pine needles and the leaves of the plant Xerophyllum tenax, a grasslike perennial related to lilies, also known as bear grass, squaw grass, and Indian basket grass. The leaves of the bear grass are green and turn cream/white when they dry. You can see the cream colored bear grass in the zigzag pattern on the bowl of the basket. The basket is also double woven with a layer of bear grass inside the bowl. The darker pine needles on the outer bowl are 2 needles woven together, this is to give the basket strength and durability. Here we have an original. Early 1900's era ~ BRUNSWICK DOUBLE NEEDLE ADJUSTABLE PHONOGRAPH REPRODUCER& TONE ARM ~. We are not exactly sure what model of Brunswick phonograph this was originally on, but it sure looks like it would have been very expensive. The reproducer has a patent date of 1917. We are selling this old phonograph reproducer and tone arm, as found for parts or restoration. I do see some damage to tone arm- see pictures, but I believe it may still work? It is really unique the way the head swivels and changes positions to use the other needle. The reproducer measures 3 inches across, and the entire piece measures 10 1/2 inches long. This is a hand woven basket made by the women of the Tarahumara Indian Tribe of Copper Canyon. Sierra Madre, Mexico. The Tarahumara are also known as Rarámuri"runners on foot" or"those who run fast" This indigenous tribe are the world's greatest ultrarunners. This basket is a little bit bigger than one that I already listed. The description is the same as the other. Except the size is different. The baskets are woven using pine needles and the leaves of the plant Xerophyllum tenax, a grasslike perennial related to lilies, also known as bear grass, squaw grass, and Indian basket grass. The leaves of the bear grass are green and turn cream/white when they dry. You can see the cream colored bear grass in the zigzag pattern on the bowl of the basket. The basket is also double woven with a layer of bear grass inside ... morethe bowl. The darker pine needles on the outer bowl are 2 needles woven together, this is to give the basket strength and durability. Bear grass is interwoven in the needles. This basket is in very good condition. There are black markings on the bottom made by the previous owner, I don't know what they are. The age of the basket is unknown. Measures 4 5/8" H. Here on offer is a delightful antique treen needle case. Dating to the early 1900s. The term"treen" is generally used to refer to small handmade functional household objects made of wood. This little needle case is handmade using traditional techniques. This object is entirely handmade by a skilled traditional craftsman. Who has laid a strong emphasis on the selection of wood and has used close-grained beech selected for maximum durability and the attractiveness of the colour and grain. As with all treen. It forms a simple hand turned cylinder that pulls apart into a cap and carrier to receive double ended knitting needles and keep them safe. It retains eight fine double ended white metal needles. A Vintage Silver Double Needle Holder - Birmingham 1901
A vintage silver double Needle Case- Birmingham 1901. The Needle Case measures 7.5cm in length and one case has a diameter(at the top) of 2cm and the other has a diameter(also at the top) of 1.5cm. The Needle Case tapers down to two oval bases. The top is hinged and this is in working order. The Case is decorated and there are two plain sections. One of which has on it monogrammed initials. The Hallmark is as follows: Anchor- Lion Rampant- date letter small b(Birmingham 1901) There is a silver loop on the side of the Case. Presumably so that it can be attached to a? chatelaine. The Needle Case weighs 35 grams. The Case is in good condtion. Although there is a very small dent to the left of the Hallmark.

This Industrial Use Double Needle Machine was Made in the 1920's by Singer. It was used by my grandmother at home for her embroidery business in the 1920's. 30's& 40's. It has been kept in a box in storage for 50 years. I cannot guarantee that it is in running/working order. It needs a good cleaning and oiling but otherwise looks in good condition.
