Have you ever seen a more lovely machine than this two-toned beauty? It looks better in person. And it sews great! But don't believe me, take a look at the swatches that I sewed. Not only does it sew terrifically through regular material, but it actually sews the embroidery stitches through denim and suede leather! You just can't beat that. Take a good look at the stitches, you can plainly see the flower, the duck and the fish on both the denim and the leather, although my choice of red thread on a reddish brown piece of suede was not the best choice. But it did sew the same way as it did on the demin, and you can plainly see how good the stitches are. OK. Now for the good stuff. It comes with the original booklet and all of the accessories that you see. The freearm table actually folds down and out of the way, and it has a handle ... morefor portability. It runs very smooth, and well it should because I have lubed up every moving part including the MOTOR bearings, the shuttle and even the bobbin winder, which I tested and it works great. AND, I was using the original needle that came with it, so no telling how dull it is. I suggest putting in a new needle, and I'll bet it will sew even better than it did for me. This is a Pfaff heavy duty sewing machine model 139 in excellent working condition. A highly versatile machine designed to sew a wide variety of materials from lightweight up to and including moderately heavy materials such as tarps. Sunbrella, tents, boat covers, suede, denim, upholstery to light leather. It is a high shank, straight and zigzag stitch machine with reverse and offers 5/16" space under its' foot. This machine was made in Western Germany and the serial number 8067839 dates this to 1964. This machine has seen very little use, the only wear that I see is around the spool pins. The bed is in exceptional condition.
