Adler 189A Industrial Strengh Sewing Machine Excellent Condition
This Adler 189A machine was one of the floor models my father used back in the early 50's when he first opened his business. He was an Adler dealer when he first started. Well this machine was put up in the attic or that's what I called it for the last 60 years. I came across it when I was moving the business. I serviced it and everything on the machine works great. This machine will sew through just about anything you can put under the foot. It is a very fast machine and very strong. All metal gears in fact everything is metal. It was made back when machines were built to last. Now shipping is a little expensive because the machine weighs around 50 pounds. This machine is so smooth they just don't make machines like this any more. This machine has not been used much at all. Previous owner used it for automotive upholstery and said everything worked well but I wasn't able to confirm this as we don't have 220 power. Adler long arm 30-7 shoe patch machine, industrial sewing machine
This Adler shoe patcher has an 18" long arm for sewing inside boots and shoes. The machine is motorized with stepped down speed for excellent control while sewing. I do not use it with the flywheel. Which is included. Patchers are capable of sewing inside boot legs and other tubular shapes. The walking presser foot is the feed dog, and it sews in any direction the operator faces the presser foot. The presser foot turns 360 degrees. I keep it in good working condition. It can stitch upper leather up to 5/16" thick. Comes with extra needles, bobbins(see pictures) I am selling it because I do not repair boots anymore.
