Bakelite case. Perfect addition to almost any shunt with 50 mv output. Dimensions: 7-1/8" x 8" x 4" high. it was made in 1943. RARE Minty Vintage Starkit MK-3 Voltmeter, Custom Wood case w/orig instr & leads
From the late 60s. I present this rare Starkit meter in exceptional condition. The owner made the handled custom-sized wood carry/storage case with a snap-on cover and base combo that includes a storage compartment for the test leads in the back. It fits the meter very closely and is well built, but not over-built, using ¼ and ¾” plywood with a gloss varnished finish. Besides the metal door-type handle on top, a short leather strap was adapted and added for carrying also. It holds the meter at a convenient viewing angle. A pair of custom made threaded rectangular nuts hold it in place. The faceplate panel printing shows very little loss of the white printed letters and numerals. Because it was almost always kept in its case, it show almost no signs of cabinet wear or(any) use. The test leads fit very snugly into the jacks, the meter ... moreface has NO scratches. I was able give it simple test with a new AA battery(included) along with the existing 15 volt 504/220A battery. Although the latter is very low in juice. The meter wouldn’t deflect more than half the scale in the x1000Ω mode. Replacements are available for about $10-$12 online. I’m leaving the owner’s ID tape attached, it’s at the bottom of the cover. He also signed and dated the base inside, July, 1971. This is a very fine find. Size and weight: 6 ¼” H x 4 ¼” W x 2 ¼” deep. Without the handle. The wood case is 8 ¾” H x 6” W x 7 ½” D. Large Antique Brass c.1900 Bristol Recording Voltmeter Waterbury Conn.
This is a Bristol Recording Voltmeter designed and produced in 1893 by William H. Bristol/ The Bristol Co. of Waterbury Conn. It is brass I believe and is quite large. A built in pen recorded voltage on a circular paper chart that was changed daily.It has a hinged glassed door and is wall mounted. It measures approx. 13 1.2" high x 10" wide x 3 3/4" deep. It is in very good condition. I'm not sure if the glass is original.There is a paper chart( which were changed daily) still attached in fair condition.This piece was probably made between 1893 and the early years of the 20th century. I do not know if it is still functioning and is being sold as is in this respect. A well made and interesting early piece. High bid pays postage.

The voltmeter is encased in a beautiful quarter sawed oak box. It measures 8 3/4" X 6 3/8" X 3" and it appears to be in excellent condition. It has a push button type opening mechanism and it weighs almost 4 pounds. The leather carrying strap is in great condition. This is a wonderful piece of old radio equipment. The voltmeter was made by Weston Electric Instrument Company. Newark, NJ, USA, circa 1925 to 1935. Please see photos for more details. Model number 16493 The unit is in very good physical condition but has not been tested. Surface wear comensurate with age. The zero adjustment screw does not move the needle. This unit has 2 chips on the corners of the housing plus a hairline crack. The 9 volt battery terminal needs to be replaced. Face plate glass is in good condition Comes with 2 leads. I picked this up at an estate sale because it looked neat. I have absolutely no idea what it does or how it works. Thought someone maybe able to use it for parts or fix the battery terminal.
