Antique 1902 Westinghouse Pittsburg PA Static Voltmeter in Orig Box NIce
I am pleased to bring to you this early Voltmeter that was in its original box showing a patent date of December 30. 1902 made by Westinghouse Electrical Co of Pittsburg PA. There was no"H" in Pittsburgh during this time period. The meter comes in its original box which is missing a board but has been protected for over 110 years and truly did its job. The box measures aprox 14" high by 12 1/2" left to right and 11" deep. Upon openeing there is the meter which is affixed to the inside of the box and you can see it has its serial number and the dial plus showing its a static voltmeter which I personally don't know the difference! The paint and the front glass are like new and again the box did its job and has protected the meter for many years. I have taken the picture of the back which shows just one wire coming ... moreoff the back of the meter. I know this meter is early and in very good condition. The dial moves back and forth and is incredibly sensitive when I move it. I am offering as a historic or collector item and have no warranty if it works or not as I will leave that up to guys and gals who collect the early stuff. I will make sure that properly pad and pack well and will pad the inside as well as bubble the box in final shipping. This lot offers a electric meter that is over 100 years old. The patent date is July 11. 1905. It is in great shape for it's age. The meter dial behind the glass appears to be paper. It is quite remarkable that after all these years moisture has not gotten in to ruin it. This is quite a heavy piece. It weighs 9 pounds. The dial measures just less than 7.5 inches across. The meter is 4 inches thick. The original bolts are still on the back. This is a much more unusual meter than you might normally find. Please see my other auctions. It measures 4 5/16 inches high. 6 inches in width and about 4 inches deep including the terminals. It has great detail and the glass is free from any cracks or breakage. The black painted steel case sets off the brass painted Weston Tag stating the model number and engraved serial number. The tag is held in place with two small brass rivets. This is an incredible piece of art and functional guitar with Bare Knuckle War Pig pickups. Which you can see in some of the pics, I put those hand wound boutique pickups in and had the neck shimmed so it would be a player and not just a work of art, it has working plasma globe, cool ceramic throw switch to enable it, and a voltmeter that moves around when the globe is enabled. It has some history. I have some YouTube videos, it was used to record a few solos, produced my the legendary Michael Wagener. You can see a studio pic of it with my other V's and one of his. It just makes people go nuts. I've played at trade events and displayed it at a music festival by the band's signing area and it got more pics and people admiring it at length than even the steampunk hot booth babes. The meter is round metal body with a 2 inch diameter glass face. The dial has both an A scale(from 0 to 1.5) and a B scale(from 0 to 30) for VOLTS. There are two probes at the bottom: one marked 1.5. The HP3455A shown in the photos is at auction. The Fluke Calibrator Unit is shown to illustrate the working digital voltmeter. Both units were previously used by the very capable owner and operator of an Electrical Test Equipment Repair and Calibration Service. His Calibration stickers can still be seen on the units. I haven't been able to find the operators manual. They are readily available on eBay. I am retired and no longer have need for this equipment.

Speco Model F-72 Analog Voltmeter W/Detroit Diesel Guild Case; FREE S/H!
Up for auction is a used Speco brand Model F-72 analog voltmeter. This was my dad’s when he used to work for Detroit Diesel and it has the Detroit Diesel Service Guild case with it. This meter comes with original box and owners manual along with original warranty card. The box has seen better days but is still intact enough to hold the meter. Only issue with this meter is that the batteries corroded the battery terminals in it. You should be able to get the terminals to clean up pretty good. Pictures show 2 of the 4 terminals corroded. One of the corroded terminals is broken and doesn’t make contact with the battery though. I tested the meter by placing a washer between the battery and the broken terminal just to get it to make a connection and the meter does work. Other than that this is still a pretty good little meter. And brass fittings. A later wire has been added to a brass threaded section which is loose at the base. The wood has a very nice patina. Something is likely loose inside as the item rattles. The threaded part to the base where wires are attached pulls free. I assume that the attachment for this is what is loose inside.
