Hickock 539B Tube Tester for restoration or Repair. Has been in storage for many many years. very dirty. missing the top cover. I attempted to test a 6L6 and was able to power the unit on. Correctly set line voltage, adjust all the knobs, set bias, checked for shorts, everything seemed to work ok, but when I pressed P4 to test the tube, the Bias jumped from 3 to 6 and the main meter did not move. I was able to see that the main meter works by checking for gas etc. the scroll chart rolls nice and smooth and the chart appears in great shape. over all the insides look good. has n Original Hickok#83 tube in it. Vintage Radio City tube tester w/ original cord, test leads, Manual, schematic
I used this Vintage 1940's Radio City tube tester for several years in which it worked flawlessly. But then the gauge needle broke and i attempted to repair with no success. So just needs a gauge to become operable again. Dovetailed box needs refinished, the top and bottom have a couple of laminate layers that have separated. But the tester is in great condition, includes voltmeter test leads, an excellent original Bakelite cord, as well as an original operation manual with detailed schematic and tube testing chart.

The fine item you are considering is an Antique Vintage Sylvania Vacuum Tube Tester Weston Model 678. I have lots of photos below. This neat vintage tube tester has a great plaque on the front which reads“Sylvania Tester“ and there‘s also a sheet of old paper tacked on the back which would seem to indicate that it‘s a Weston Model 678. The tester, which measures approximately 17” by 15 ½” looks to me to date to the 1920’s or 1930’s, with a large center meter and an all wood case. The tester is in pretty remarkable, very well cared for, overall condition, but it does have a few issues, these being that one corner of the plastic front tube panel is chipped off(see photos) and the power plug is very old and a bit smashed. This is a Dyna Jet 606 Tube Tester that that came from a former TV repair shop. This unit has excellent tube sockets that are tight and does not appear to have had much use. It appears that the unit was carried around much more than it was used. Has original power cord. Has original ground clip and comes with a copy of the instruction manual and tube chart. There are separate papers for operating instructions. Please review pictures for details. The Dyna Jet Model 606 Tube Test will test all the commonly used tubes in general use. In addition. It will test many voltage regulator tubes, thyratron tubes, industrial tubes and many of the European types found in hi/fi equipment. Any ... moreelectronics for that matter. I purchased it in a lot at auction. I can tell you I plugged it in. The lights came on under the chart(picture 2) and the needle went to center. Well, almost center, in the yellow anyway, as shown in picture 9. The chart is a little off kilter. And when you roll it, it's not always even and dips and rises as you're turning it, and seems loose inside. Maybe there's an adjustment underneath to take up the slack? There is a cut/ splitting in the casing of the red wire in more than one spot. So that will need to be changed. There is a pretty good patina build up on some spots. It surely needs a good cleaning. There is also some cracking at the top of the clear"window" covering the needle as shown in picture 9. Nothing horrible. The case is pretty crappy. The covering is peeling all over and one corner is coming apart or has come apart and barely hanging together. Also. It's clearly been stored in a basement, so has that musty basement smell. From my personal collection. Here is a mutual conductance tester you can be proud of and count on for decades to come, a beautiful refubished restored and calibrated B&K 747. This one is originally from State of Connecticut, Dept of Education and has clearly not seen much use. Very well kept and super clean, no rust nor corrosion to be seen. Last of the 747 testers, late production date on this one is July 1982(as seen in the closeup. This 747 was very recently fully calibrated(adjusted according to B&K procedures- shorts detection threshold. Leakage circuit, and grid emmision circuit. Then checked and/or adjusted for correct signal voltage, DC bias& balance, DC plate voltage& DC screen voltage- again according to B&K procedures. Importantly, the electrolytic caps were all replaced with USA manufacture Illinois caps. This ... morewill assure the new owner of stability for decades. Resistors were also checked and/or replaced for correct values. This 747 does not need to be 12AX7 modified. Test results read full scale on the meter now. Uses test buttons 1 and 2 to check both triodes so no need to reset any switches to read the other triode within. Try that with your Hickok, no can do. Automatic line adjust circuitry too, no more line adjusting for each tube type. Truely exhibits ease of use when testing many various tubes at one sitting. Photos are not generic 747 pictures. CBS COLUMBIA TV-2 vacuum tube tester FOR PARTS or restore
Offered is a CBS COLUMBIA model TV-2/U vacuum tube tester. Offered for PARTS or REPAIR only. Pulled this one out of the attic of a BARN some time back. The relentless Texas summer heat has taken its toll on this one. The case is in fair to good cosmetic condition showing one dent in the side of the lid. Rust on the hinges and some remaining dirt that I did not clean off. The tester face looks OK, but shows usage. Meters look good. Opening it up was a bit of a surprise. The tin roof it was sitting under must have acted like an oven as it melted a good portion of the insulation from the transformers. Pretty messy looking for sure. I took a chance and fired it up, and to my surprise it came to life. I can report that the filament meter works and shows voltages though I would not bet on how accurate they might be. The grid bias meter showed no ... moresigns of life. The B+ meter works giving readings of at least 250 volts DC. The screen-volt meter showed no signs of life but the Signal meter works. I tested a 6L6 and the GM meter gave me a blip or two but that was it which tells me that it should be in working condition. So. I think that the meters are probably all OK and that some of the basic functions are still working. Beyond that, who knows. SO, parts unit? OR are you an electronics he-man looking for a big winters project to take on. It will be securely double boxed for safe delivery.

Offered is a SUPREME? model TV-7/U vacuum tube tester. I say SUPREME. As there is no name on the ID tag to identify the manufacturer. The bias and meter shunt controls look like Supreme models I have seen, so its just a guess. There is probably no need here to describe the TV-7 and its functions. This is a very common tester and there is plenty of data and info to be found on the internet about it. I have owned many of these over the years. This one is probably#20 or so. This example is in reasonably good cosmetic condition. The tester is in great shape, not so for the case as it must have 4 or five coats of paint on it, some of which is flaking off. If I were going to keep it I would think about having it repainted but it has a nice well worn look to it as it is. This tester has had a recent complete overhaul by the great DAN NELSON of Arizona. ... moreDan specializes in repair and re-calibration of TV-7's and does excellent work. This tester has had its Octal and 7 and 9 pin mini sockets replaced. Its been my experience that these are ALWAYS worn out and need replacing so if you are thinking of buying an'as-is' tester here on Ebay be aware that 9 out of 10 of these offered will need this repair. In addition to replacing the sockets, ferrite beads have been added to the Octal and 7 and 9 pin sockets. This was added to the TV-7D to prevent oscillation of high gain tubes such as the Western 417A, or the 6DJ8 and is added here for the same reason. This makes for a more reliable test of these tubes. This particular tester has had a fresh#83 rectifier tube added, capacitors replaced where necessary and a complete re-calibration. A new flip chart/book has been added in addition to a new plate cap adapter. Total repair bill $288.00. This unit works very well and will be good for another decade of use. If you are looking for a beauty queen then this one is not for you, but if you are looking for a very good working unit, then this one might fit the bill. I have the Military TV-10A/U Tube Tester. This came to me recently and has been unused for some time. I have tested a few tubes and it seems to be working properly. Please see the video below. The roll chart does work but I never did like those things. I have seen a manual on disc for about $10 on ebay and that would be much easier. I would keep this for myself but already have a couple good testers. I am sure it could use a calibration but seems to be accurate as least on the tubes I checked. I tested some of my 12AX7A tubes as well as a 5R4 and some 7 pin tubes and it worked fine. Please note that the AC power cord is kind of bad where it goes into the unit and also the locktal socket is not there. Also the lid is missing. It will be packed well. Sold as is as stated. SIMPSON brand I-177-B military tube tester
Offered is a SIMPSON brand I-177 B military tube tester. Grey cabinet(for USAF use) Probably early 1950's vintage. Decent but far from perfect cosmetic condition. Case shows the usual scratches. Nicks and minor rust spots. Nothing major however. Tester looks good. Line cord is still reasonably supple but shows a repair close to the tester chassis. Plate/Filament cap lead is supple. Face plate looks good. All control elements turn freely. Meter works without well and without drags or hang ups. Both the FUSE and the SHORTS lams are missing. Someone has wrapped some wire around inside the Fuse lamp post to keep the tester working. Shorts lamp is still in the socket but the glass is broken. That being said the tester works and seems to work well at that. These are good quality mutual conductance type units that are great for working on old ... moreradios. They have 4.5,6, and 7 jumbo pin sockets, plus modern OCTAL, and 7-pin mini. Also included are Acorn and Locktal sockets. NOTE THAT THERE IS NOT A 9-Pin mini socket included on this set. Here is a vacuum tube tester kit made by Knight kits. An Allied Radio corporation. It comes with everything in the picture. I plugged this in and it lights up and the needle goes to the middle(yellow) spot on the gauge. My father bought this several years ago at a swap meet to fix the radios of a couple of his cars. Right after he bought it, he found a guy that fixed classic radios, so he never tried this out. Of course, the guy he bought it from said it works, but I have no I way of testing it out. All I can tell you is that when turned on, the lights come on the needle moves and all the switches and dials seem to operate normally. Hickok 800K / 600A Vacuum Tube Tester
Hickok 800K 600A Vacuum Tube Tester Tester seem to work pretty good. The 6V6GT being tested measured 4180 on my Amplitrex and so looks pretty close. I did put a new cord on it. Cleaned the switches with DeOxit. The tubes(83& 5Y3GT) inside it test as new. Interior electronics look good. Roll chart goes from end to end but gets a little tight at the very ends. Easy fix. Some minor stains on the face and a small dent in the lower right hand corner(see picture) I do not have the manual(a 600A manual will work just fine) but available free on line or nice reprints on Ebay. The case is a little rough but solid. There is a plate/grid wire but the wire covering is cracked and should be replaced. As with any tester purchased on Ebay. You are bidding on a vintage Supreme model 85 vacuum tube tester for antique radios. Very nice looking vintage 1935 Supreme 85 tube tester. This is the early version. With the round meter instead of the fan-shaped meters Supreme used on later testers. It uses a large NE-1 neon bulb for shorts testing(top of photo 2) Set-up and testing are easy, using the chart inside the lid(photo 4) The model 85 tests all tubes commonly in use in 1935 without adapters. In addition, the original owner of this tester purchased 8 socket adapters(bottom of photo 4) that allow many later octal type tubes to be tested, He added directions for testing these at the top of the original Supreme chart(photo 4) This model 85 is in very clean condition with an excellent oak case(see photos) The cord has been replaced for safety. But everything else is original. I tried ... morethis tester on an 01A tube with borderline emission, and got the correct result(photo 3) The shorts neon indicator also worked correctly. If you plan to use this regularly. It should be checked and possibly re-calibrated. These are simple testers, but the capacitors are probably leaky after 80 years. I also noticed that button number 2 on the bottom sticks, so should be cleaned and lubricated. Supreme(located in Greenwood. This NRI Model 70 Vacuum Tube Tester is in great condition. Has worked perfectly for many years to maintain my Tempo One/FT-200 HF transceivers. It will not test the Tempo One final Compactron 6JS6C tubes, but since long ago I converted my Tempo to 6146/6883's, it tests them just fine. The hinged lid slides off for full access. This unit is very clean, and all 8 rubber feet are intact on the finished wooden cabinet. The photo of the cabinet bottom shows a flaw in the plywood, not a crack. Also shown is the cracked Tube Cap which is fully functional. Attached to the inside cover is a home-typed quick-reference chart for the Tempo One tubes.
