Here's a nice Eico 625 tube tester. Many were kits. Others were factory-wired. This particular one works great; I tested 12v tubes, 6v tubes, and in the pics a 5Y3; the results were accurate. If you're into matching audio pairs/quads, this isn't the instrument for you; you'll need to fork over a few hundred bucks more for a mutual-conductance tester. This item was sold to me as part of a completely different tube tester. And not having a Hickok 531, I don't need it, ... moreso it should go to someone who does! The paper. Of course, is yellowed, more at the ends than in the middle. I wound it all the way from one side to the other and found two holes through printed lines, and one part missing from an edge(probably from silverfish or moths where it was stored) I took pictures of both holes that involved numbers, and the data on the chart is still useable. One hole is over the filament voltage for one of the parts of a 1H5G, a triode diod. The filament voltage for the triode is 1.5 Volts, and it's common with the triod, so. 1.5 Volts! That one's easy. The other hole is between two lines for different stages of a 70L7GT, and you can still read both numbers(12 and 7) There may be other holes that I didn't notice. But that's how it is with old paper. While writing this. I decided to scroll it end to end to make sure I can tell you the rest of the paper is good. The top end is still taped to the roller and looks OK for it's age. The bottom end, however, I can see is very brittle and starting to come apart, so I stopped scrolling immediately, and put it in a box. So. This calibrated Stark Model 12-22A Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester is probably the hardest vacuum tube tester to find. It tests both European and American Vacuum Tubes along with Selenium Rectifiers. Transistors and Diodes. Stark was the Canadian subsiduary of Hickok and made electrically identical tube testers. Using the Hickok circuits, but with a somewhat different appearance, and a lot wider range of sockets. The quality is second to none. The bias pots etc. feel very healthy. Function switches look and feel great. Both are somewhat bigger than their hickok counterparts. To allow for the extra sockets. A Stark 12-22A Users Manual. Calibration instructions and a Hickok Consolidated Test Data Manual is Included. Both the Hickok 533A and the Stark 12-22A use the same 2.5 Screen Voltage so they share the same Tube Testing Data. Vintage Heath Co. Heathkit Vacuum Tube Tester Checker Model TC-2 With Manual This is a nice vintage Heathkit TC-2 tube tester. It has only been tested to power up. It does power up with no issues. The light behind the tube list comes on and the needle on the meter goes to the yellow area when powered up. No further testing has been done. Overall this does have wear but looks good for its age. Outside case is original and has general surface wear. Corners are beat up and one is especially torn. Looks like someone added tape all the way around or it was put there by the company(looks decorative) Overall size is 14 1/2" x 12" x 6 1/2" The lid inside has a place where it is gaping but still sealed from outside. see last pic) A bit musty smelling.No burning smell hisses or noise.

For bid one(1) Philco Radio& Television Corp. tube tester. I replaced control#2 potentiometer with a new type so it is probably not an exact replacement. However the one I removed comes with the tube tester. The instructions say to rotate the“Line Regulator” knob in a clockwise direction from the off position until the shadow-meter arrow is on the“Red Line” of screen. There is no shadow so for the test I set it at 5. The wood has been stripped and has a linseed finish(I wish I had left it original) The cover is missing 3 of the 12 screws holding it in place. The original handle comes with it but it is very poor condition. I tested a number 41 tube on my I-177-B tube tester and then this tester and it seemed to work(see the pictures) However this just means that it didn’t catch on fire. I do not guarantee that this tube tester works correctly. ... moreThe only tube inside is a 25Z5 and tested excellent on my I-177-B tester. Inside the lid is a small plate and says Serial No. 10791. Has original power cord that is in flexible good condition. Comes with 3 stiff cards attached to the access lid where the power cord is stored. The top of the first card covers the operation. Followed by 4 more pages of tube settings. The back of the 3 card is blank. Looks like around 200 tube settings in total. A much simpler time! NOTE: Only the old Philco is for sale. Antique 1940? Stark Tube Tester Model 9-55 Serial #3264 Rough Case but Working
This is a working Stark tube tester.The instrument itself is in a decent condition. The case however as damage on the top and the hinges are rusty. It is a model 9-55 and the serial# is 3264. Thru the first 6 pictures i have tried to show that the tester is capabile and working as if you will notice i am testing various tubes and the matching socket, A 6 pin 6U8A and 9 pin 12AT7 tube, followed with a 4 pin 811A amplifier tube and then an 8 pin 6146B transmitter tube. These pictures show what is rally the RED operating power on light. The pictures make it look faded or bleached out, that is not the case, the red is very vivid and clear. simply poor picture color. I tried hard to show the tube and the meter showing the varios tube conditions. But my fingers would not reach and still push the camera button. Anyhow this set works well and that is my intent in showing these few tubes being tested. Simpson Model 555 Tube Tester, Nice, Clean, Works
You are bidding on a Simpson Model 555 Tube Tester. This is a very nice tester made to test tubes from four pin types thru nine pin miniatures. So there are no sockets for compactrons. I tested numerous tubes and got reasonable readings on all that I tested. The only detraction that I found is that the nine pin miniature socket is worn. And I had to wiggle tubes to make good contact for testing. So that socket would be best replaced. The original manual is included. The roll chart moves smoothly and has listings for the early tubes 01A and double digit tubes, up thru more modern types. I’m certain that supplementary data is available on the internet, if needed. The front panel is very nice with no scratches is signs of misuse. The case is wooden, covered with leatherette with very few worn spots. Thank you for viewing this Sterling Vacuum Tube tester. I do not have a lot of experience with Tube Testers. I now this one worked. The two small gage type with external probes are completely foreign to me but I am not an expert by any manner. The one pictured on the right side has a broken wire. I think it is an easy fix but I thought it would be better for someone who knows more about them to fix. I guarantee the two to work or I will pay the postage to return them and refund 100% of the purchase price.

DESCRIPTION This is an old Hydrometer. Or Alcohol/Spirits Test Kit. The thick cardboard tube indicates this is Model No. 710 Complete Alcohol Tester Set. The set includes the cardboard sleeve with directions on back, a wooden stand, a tube in which to place the spirit, and the hydrometer itself. This is used to determine the amount of alcohol in a spirituous liquid, such as a fermented product like beer or wine, or a distilled product like whisky. The testing tube, which has some neat old wavy glass, stands about 13" tall in its wooden holder and is about 1" in diameter. The hydrometer measures about 12" long. CONDITION This item seems to be in GOOD CONDITION. But I don't have any way to test it. There are no chips or cracks in the glass pieces. There is generalized overall staining on the cardboard tube. Very nice condition Heathkit TC-2 Tube Tester. This unit has been gone over and is in great working condition. I took the unit apart cleaned it all up. Changed the bad plate cap wire, cleaned all the pots and switches. Also Made sure it calibrates to the standard of my calibration tube that has been in lots of tube testers. The box and cord are also in good shape. The tube sockets are nice and tight, So I doubt this tester was used too much at all. This one isn't an old Donkey, Nobody ever used it much. Vintage 1930s-1940s RADIO & T.V. E-Z TUBE TESTER w/instructions & tube cards
I have a VERY OLD(1930s- 1940s) RADIO AND T.V. E-Z TUBE TESTER made by the E-Z TEST CO of Macon. Georgia, USA. It is complete with the TUBE LIST and a lot of cards(for each type of tube I assume) but does show fairly heavy signs of wear on the paper items, the box and the cords. The cord/plug is fine but 1 of the 2 other cord-things(to hook on to the tubes I think) is missing the end that attaches to the tube. It's still a neat OLD item and would be a great addition for anyone who collects old T.V's, Radios, or Tubes. My home is smoke-free but I do have several indoor cats. R&D INSTRUMENTS 1575/ WESTERN ELECTRIC KS-15750-L2 TUBE TESTER REBUILT AND CALIBRATED ONE YEAR WARRANTY Offered: R&D INSTRUMENTS 1575 TUBE TESTER. This is the latest commercial version of the BELL LABS/WESTERN ELECTRIC KS-15750-L2 designed by Hickok. Since only those associated with Western Electric could buy their KS-15750. The R&D Instruments version was created so others could buy one of these testers. The R&D 1575 and the KS15750-L2 are identical; the only difference is the faceplate right above the roll chart. This KS 15750/RD 1575 is essentially a Hickok 539B/C with higher grade parts and with TWO ADDITIONAL meter ranges so it could test some Western Electric tubes more accurately than the original 539B/C circuit. NOS tubes. With high gm but low bias, like a 264/864, for example all showed up as rejects on my 539C. I ... moregot a box of almost 100 sealed Hytron VT-24/864 tubes from WW II and every one was a reject on my 539C; Luckily I knew enough to use my R&D 1575 which had a meter interval not on the 539C specifically for these tubes and they then gave a spectrum of normal readings for NOS tubes. A feature that makes the 539C(but not the B) one of the most sought after testers is the 2 external leads that allow the technician to read plate current on an external multi-meter. These leads were never added to the RD 1575-KS 15750 version of the 539C and to overcome this shortcoming we added a digital plate current meter to this tester near the main analogue meter. Now plate current can be read simultaneously with gm. This new meter has its own little power supply and maintains complete independence from the original tester circuitry. When I match tubes. I use plate current(or current draw) first and then gm to make pairs. I cannot imagine a tester without the ability to read plate current. This tester is in nearly perfect cosmetic and electronic condition. This tester was rebuilt and calibrated by C.G. Industries in Florida. They are one of the best labs I have ever found. I tested the meter by plugging in thew unit and checking the line adjust. The meter moves with the adjustment but at the top range of the adjustment the fuse light comes on. Note that the outside of the case is completely covered in rust and power transformer has significant rust. Eico model 628 tube tester and manual copy
Here we have for sale one Eico brand model 628 conductance-type tube tester. Don't know if this one was built from a kit. Or if it was factory-built. The build quality suggests to me that it was factory-made, but who knows? The screws that hold the tube sockets in place have two nuts apiece on them, so somebody wanted them to stay put where they're mounted. The power switch looks out of place because someone has added it to the tester. The original design used the"Line Adjust" control to shut off the tester. You turn this knob all the way to the left and it opens the power circuit. Not sure when the toggle switch seemed like a good idea. This is a"Conductance Tester" That means that it won't measure a tube's ability to amplify signals. It simply puts a DC current through the tube and measures the tube's"quality" ... morethat way. Crude. But it also checks for leakage and shorts. Since those three types of tube fault will cause many of the performance problems seen in consumer audio/radio/television equipment, this was considered"good enough" especially at the low-ball price you would pay for this tester when it was marketed. A lower price than a real-live"transconductance" tester would have cost you, at least. So. There you have it. This was the cheapie model 50 or so years ago. The pictures tell the story. The overload lamp is broken. It's a screw-base type 42. The setup switches reveal some of the black silver oxide that forms on silver-plated switch contacts. Some of the tube sockets look a bit crusty on the outside, but pretty darn clean on the inside. The meter's pointer moves freely, but that's all I know about that part. The roll chart has broken at the bottom end. Just short of where it says"STOP" to tell you not to crank the thumbwheels any farther. The cellophane tape that secured the end of the roll chart to the bottom roller came loose. Looks as if that end of the chart caught in the gear teeth of one thunbwheel and to

Works, it is shown testing a known strong 6L6GC. Tests 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 pin tubes for shorts, gas, and quality, including: 1L6, 2A3, 5AR4(GZ34) 5V4, 6AS7, 6CA4, 6CA7(EL34) 6BM8, 6BQ5, 6DJ8, 6EU7, 6FQ7, 6SN7, 12AT7, 12AU7, 12DW7(7247) 10, 45, 50, 83, 6550, 7025, 7027, 7189, 7199, 8417, KT66, and KT88.
