Up for sale a B&K Dyna Jet 606 Tube Tester from my collection. This is my favourite small tester. Very easy to use, set 4 dials from the settings in the book& throw a switch, that simple. It tests for Shorts, Leakage Grid Contamination, Grid Emission& Quality, it will test pretty much all the common makes of tube in guitar, bass amps inc. KT66/88s& most radio ones but not the old 4 pins. Pics show testing a 12ax7& a KT88& the results are the same as my main tester. Also shown is calibration using a B&K module INCLUDED IN THE SALE WITH INSTRUCTIONS& the shorts light working with very clean inside. I've listed this as refurbished as a few of the resistors& caps were out of spec& I replaced with modern equivalents, it now works like new. Tester is in Very good condition with just the odd scratch& ... morescuff from age. Case is solid with slight scuffs& rust spots. This is fully tested& calibrated. Including the 6BN8 tube that runs the test, its fully working. Comes with a copy of the original manual& original charts inc. schematics& Novar& 3DG4 adapters. Also a Tube Substitution handbook with a very tatty cover. This runs on 110V so will need a step down transformer easily available from ebay or Maplins. This is an honestly listed working tester. Ultra Rare Superior 1930s Tube Tester Works Good for Early Tubes 11405 11405S
You can look far and wide and not find another tester like this very early Superior model 11405(also marked 11405S) This is certainly from the 1930s. It's in good shape with the top included as you can see. It even works! Each tube only requires 3 settings- filament voltage. Load and"A or B" to control the pinout selected. This is actually a really nice tester if you have a bunch of older tubes to test. You set it up in seconds and the needle starts to rise to tell you if they are good or bad. It could not be easier. I ran a large group of older rectifiers(including a bunch of 5U4) thru it and it was outstanding to help get rid of the weak ones. You just plug the tube in and it starts to read. If the meter slowly creeps up and doesn't make it to the good- it's not. If it slowly moves into the Good area- it's good. ... moreIf it quickly moves into the good area. It's like new. Includes tube chart. But it has some mistakes on it. Basically, on some tubes it says use the"B" setting when"A" is correct. It doesn't hurt anything, the filaments just done light if you have it wrong. Don' miss this one! It's also test 50s 10s 2A3 45's etc. You wouldn't normally use such an emission tester for such tubes. But it's small and light and easy to take with you when you're trying to figure out if you want to buy a load of tubes.

Hello and welcome to my auction! I'm still helping my mom empty out my grandmother's apartment. So I'll be listing several new attic finds over the next few weeks. Please keep in mind that these things have all been in storage for a number of years and the packages/items are dirty/dusty and musty smelling. All items have been stored indoors away from light and moisture. You are looking at a Lafayette Tube Tester with Original Carrying Case and Instruction Manual. There are some small scuffs/scratches on the plastic window that covers the reader portion and a deep surface scratch about an inch long near the 7 Pin Aligner; there is some sticker residue that can be easily removed with the proper cleaning solution; the plug and cord appear to be in good order; the case closes securely but has some chipping at the corners. Which can ... morebe seen in the photos. When I plugged this in it immediately started to hum and the needle jumped. But it is being sold AS-IS and I can make no guarantee as to whether or not it is in proper working order. I have included several photos and they should be considered as part of the description. purchased at a estate sale. I know nothing of these types of machines but I plugged it in and the lights turn on and the meter moves. From doing some research there is a bottom cabinet that came with this that I obviously don't have but does come with the black sheet metal base( see picture) Also comes with the top part( which usually is missing) and the tube chart. I can ship this but it will be a large package and heavy and I will need to take the top off so you will need to reassemble. You're looking at a vtg Military US Army Signal Corps Vacuum Tube Tester I-177. From the late 40's or early 50's. I believe this was made by Triplett. As it looks the same as those I have seen for sale; the identifying metal plate has come off the front. The unit is in good overall cosmetic condition. However I have no way to test it and cannot claim that it works. The test booklet dated June 1951 comes with the unit. Nice find! I do combine shipping. B&K 707 TUBE TESTER FULLY CALIBRATED READY TO USE
The unit is rough on the outside. But it is a very solid case. To look new it could be painted or recovered. On the inside as you can see from the pics, it is very clean, actually looks unused. The tester was in storage for a few years and so before I decided to sell it I had it calibrated. Before it was calibrated all of the capacitors were replaced and all od the resistors were checked for out of tolerance. There are two#55 lamps in there in bayonet sockets that have proven to be faulty after some time so to remedy this the bulbs were soldered into the sockets. Then it was calibrated to spec and tested with many tubes of known condition. It was right on the money. Included with it will be a copy of the original tube manual. Works perfectly and is priced to sell.

Mercury 1100A tube tester - small and portable
It is time for my fall cleaning of the house and basement so you all benefit. I describe what I have to the best of my ability. Mercury Model 1100A tube tester. Obvously used. I did test a known 6L6 and the tester worked accurately. However the meter was a little slow to respond and initially bounced. Meter cover is scratched on the inside. Not sure how that happened. I always like to keep one of these small testers with me in the car for testing newer audio tubes. I am selling this one basically as a parts tester needing repairs. This auction is for(1) one Superior TV-12 Trans-Conductance Tube Tester in G/VG overall condition. It was powered on and the meter doesn't center on LINE ADJ. That was all that was tested. The power cord is included. The power receptacle pins are somewhat loose through the Phenolic insulator. The TV-12 is an emissions tester and can test for mutual conductance using readings. Published tube data, and calculations outlined in the manual. This model can also test transistors. The early types are shown in the manual. All controls operate freely. TV-2 C/U Tube Tester Hickok Excellent Shape
Up for consideration 1 TV-2 C/U tube tester. This tube tester is in excellent shape for its age. all the dials move freely. All gauges move smoothly. The roll chart is outstanding. both the laches work great. it Also comes with the original test set booklet. I've tested all the internal tubes. all of them are great and well balance except the spare 83 Westinghouse. That one is bad. I left it in the holder to keep the bracket from moving over the place. The power cord seems to original. I've tested a few different types of tubes on this machine and they all fall a little short of my calibrated TV-7D. so im going to list it as needing calibration, and the only guarantee I will make is that it will turn on. Hickok Model I-177-B Military Tube Tester + MX-949A/U Tube Socket Adapter Kit
I-177-B Tester has worked well for testing 5 and 6 pin tubes. I have not tested tubes using the other tube sockets of this tester. I removed the tester from its rugedized case to photograph its interior. No loose or broken parts were discovered. Tubes glow nicely. Tube socket adapter mx-949A/U has not been used by me. I do not know how to use it. Nor do I know if it works properly. The metal case is missing one hook to catch the right latch. From the estate of an avid HAM hobbyist. Up for auction is this INCREDIBLE Sylvania Model 29 tube tester! The tester will ship to you in working condition! We tested several tubes on this tester and they tested fine/as they should. The cool green metal cover/face plate looks really really nice! The color is still nice and bright/shiny. The wood sides with the detailed carving makes this piece look art deco! As you can see from the pictures. The interior components look both original and complete ~ and in very good condition. The meter lists this as a Model 29 tester. Superior Instruments Model 450-A tube tester probably needs work
Powers up and the meter works for Line Adjustment. However. I couldn't get a tube to light up or test(I randomly picked a 6SN7GT that was handy for testing, didn't try any other tubes or sockets. The"COND. light lights up if the jumper is connected between those two terminals. I couldn't get the“TUBE" light to light up. The shorting jumper that's inserted between the Noise Test/Cond. Test plugs isn’t original. Appears to be made from a piece of a coat hanger. I'm selling the unit AS IS. No returns or price adjustments. Good cosmetic condition. Some scratches, dings, and gouges on wooden case, some rust on the case’s metal hardware. Two of the rubber"feet" are missing. Control panel shows some wear, but looks pretty good overall. Has sockets to test antique and modern tube types. Includes two old somewhat ... morecrumbling chart pages with Operating Instructions. Notes, and some data for tube testing. Data for a few popular vintage audio tube types(50, 6L6, 6SL7, 6SN7, 12AU7) and many vintage radio tubes are on the chart, but because the unit’s so old(not sure of the exact age, but I’m guessing late 1940s-mid‘50s) there isn’t data for more modern tube types, although Superior may have possibly issued supplements as time went on.I don’t have any and not sure if you’d be able to find them if they ever existed. Knight Tube Tester in Good Working Condition - For Testing Antique Radio Tubes
This listing is for a working Knight tube tester. I have used similar tube testers since the 1950s and like them because they are easy to use. Able to test most tube types, and seem to provide a good"GO/NO GO" indication with minimum effort. This particular tester appears to be from the 1950s. But has been upgraded to test tubes made in the 1960s. It has a newer roll chart that moves smoothly, sockets for newer tubes, and a"socket saver" installed to ensure that good connections can be made when testing 7-pin miniature tubes. I tested a tube to verify its operation. And the results agreed with those I received from the Knight tester I use regularly. I also used a voltmeter to verify that all of the settings on the filament voltage switch work as they should. The meter movement is excellent. It zeros well, adjusts properly ... moreto center for use, and has just the right amount of damping to be pleasant to use. The lights illuminating the roll chart also work as they should. Up for auction is this VERY NICE Conar Model 223 Tube Tester! The unit powers on and lights up as it should. All of the levers and knobs appear to be working as they should be. The faceplate is clean and the black case is in very good shape as well. There are a few very minor scrapes/scratches that you might expect on a piece of this age. It even still has the original paperwork and manuals! I only had one tube to test the unit with and I was able to get the short indicator to work and the needle did move. All knobs are present. Vintage 1959 Century Fast Check Tube Tester. Very Cool. Vintage Tube Tester from CENTURY Electronics(Mineola New York) Comes in hardwood case with original manual. Manuel indicates it is from 1959. I Believe it is Model Number FC2 from my research, but I am not 100% sure. This Tube tester is Untested(as I have no way to test it) but it has been plugged in. And it powers up. Only condition issue I could find is that the selector knob appears to be stuck, with some skill it can likely be taken off and unstuck. As indicated above. I tried it with numerous tubes and it tested them all accurately. I don't know when it was last calibrated so probably has been too long and it should be checked over/ tuned up if you are going to use it regularly. I thin the power switch/dial needs to be replaced it comes on in the off position and off in the on position. All other switches seem to work as they are supposed to. Up for auction is an original vintage Heathkit model TC-2 portable tube tester dating from the 1960's. Comes with the manuals as seen in the photos. Tube tester is in its original carrying case as seen in the photos. The case is in nice shape and has normal wear on the surface. Could use a good cleaning. Tube tester works as it should and needs the red wire replaced(has a crack in it) Face is in great shape with no dents. No rust, no deep scratches, no cracks and all the lettering is in great shape. Available for sale is a very nice Otto-1 multi-tube tester system. This tester will test your power output tubes. Both 9-pin(EL84, 7189, etc) as well as octal(6L6GC, 6550, KT88, etc) I do not know if it can test other tubes as well, as there appears to be limited information on this model. This is a great way to test tubes that will be used in the same circuit. It seems to have a variety of test functions. I am assuming you connect an external meter to measure plate current. This unit was acquired from a gentleman who used to restore Fender guitar amplifiers. As well as many ham radio projects. Due to health reasons, he can no longer enjoy his hobby, and as a result no longer had use for this piece of equipment. It comes in the original wooden case, and has always been stored indoors in a smoke-free environment. Here for your consideration is a barely used Excellent Sylvania 220 Tube Tester that uses emission and transconductance testing as you can read on the meter. It was sold in 1950 for $114.50. Available for sale is a B&K tube tester. Model Dyna-Jet 707. This is a popular model, as it can not only test most of the audio tubes being use today, but quite a few tubes which are used in ham radio. Included with the tester is the original user manual and tube data books. This unit is in decent physical condition for its age. The previous owner had removed the blue paper/cloth from the bottom of the tester. And refinished the wood underneath. He had meant to do the same to the top, but never got around to it.
