Calibrated EICO 667 Tube Tester Must See 6550 EL34 6L6 7868 KT88
This is a model 667 tube tester made by EICO. Tester was just calibrated per the manual. It measures Dynamic Conductance on tubes. I tested a few tubes and it works. Notice the 7868. KT88, and 6L6 tubes under a test. All filament voltages were also tested. This front panel is clean(only slight corrosion) and appears to have seen little use because the tube sockets are still tight. This will test octal loctal, 7, 9, 10 miniature, 5, 7 pin nuvistors, 9, 12 pin compactron and pilot lamps. I did not try to test any transistors on this. The case has some scratches, paint flakes, and some rust(nothing a little paint would fix) Meter works very smoothly as it should. The roll chart is missing but I can email the winning bidder a 29 page copy of the Instruction Manual and a 43 page Master Settings Book. Calibrated BK B&K 707 Dyna-Jet Tube Tester KT88
This is a B&K Dyna-Jet 707 dynamic mutual conductance tube tester. It was just calibrated per the manual. Notice the different tubes under a test(6L6G. EL34 7868) Also look at the shorted 6L6 tube with the Shorts Light glowing. See arrow on the photo) The fabric looks great for age with only a few minor scratches. The front panel shows some wear. This tester will test 7, 9 pin miniature, octal, nuvistor, and compactron tubes. I can email the Instruction Manual and Settings Chart to the winning bidder if desired. One grid/plate lead will be furnished. This will test tubes like 7868, EL34, 6L6G, 12AX7, ECC83, 6SN7, 7591, 6SJ7, KT66, KT88, 5AR4, and hundreds more. Ok folks. What we have here is a B&K Dyna scan tube tester. This thing is kinda rough. i took the 3 screws out so you can see the innards. Meter plastic face cover is in 2. But the colored meter face looks good and some glue should take care of the problem.Alot of other issues. I have no idea if this thing can work on not.It did not blow up when I plugged it in but that means nothing. Look at list above of problems. It is in really nice condition. With only minor surface wear to the case. It has been very well taken care of. The worst thing I see is that the back cover of the booklet got stuck to the inside of the case at some point so there is some paper stuck there from where it was pulled off. Book is still fully legible and can still clip into place. The unit itself looks great. This unit was tested and works as it should. It is actually pretty easy to use. Hickok TV-7D/U Tube tester, Extremely nice condition, Depot overhauled / Cal'd
Here's a really nice TV-7D tube tester in excellent operating condition and cosmetic condition. It appears to me that it was never used in the field. There's no obvious wear either on the inside or outside of the case. This comes with the US Army Depot box when it was calibrated or overhauled in 1978. I just checked the calibration(to Mil TM-11-6625-274-35) and it needed just one minor adjustment since the overhaul. See my calibration test sheets in the last two pictures. This has the standard accessories. And an unused tube chart. All of this looks unused. As you can see from the pictures the front panel. And the chassis are also like new. The tube sockets are likewise look unused. Some info. The TV-7D has several improvements over earlier units e.g. it has parasitic oscillation damping(ferrite beads) and it has a higher GM range(position ... moreF) for testing the later(high Gm) tubes. This of course will test all early tubes including Western Electrics. There are sockets for 4.5,6,7,8 octal. 8 loctal, 7/ 9 pin minatures and acorns. It is possible to make adapters for the later 9/ 12 pin sweep tubes. This has been completely calibrated to the Army Tech manual(TM 11-6625-274-35) specs. The two factors that have the most influence on unit to unit repeatability are the signal voltage levels(step 4) and the transconductane(plate AC current) These are right on their center values(see test calibration data) The TV-7's are considered to be standard by many people. They're obviously built to the highest standard and they don't have the"English" pot that many Hickok's used to change the transconductance range. TV-7's that are calibrated properly don't depend on using a"standard" 6L6) tube for adjusting the(transconductance) scales. Instead this calibration is done by using by using a known AC plate current(from an isolated transformer) and knowing the AC grid test signal. Multi-Amp Military TV-7 D/U Tube Tester. In fair to good cosmetic condition. This tester is not in it's original case I believe and does not include accessories. Looks to have been mounted in a case for a Hickok 600/800 or 6000/8000 series tester but I am not sure, as I don't have one of those here to compare… Power transformer has one loose mounting leg to chassis. I've repaired it a bit from when I received it, but still should not receive rough handling until that is addressed further. Tester cleaned. A few caps replaced, shorts/fuse lamp replaced…some loose wires re-soldered to proper terminals… powered up slowly on a variac. Can set line voltage.can test most tubes with the exception of power tubes such as a 6L6? Noticed one of the transformer terminals is not connected to anything and no evidence as to where it should be ... morehooked up?further troubleshooting is necessary and possibly calibration as well, though the tubes I tested stayed close to my other mutual conductance testers in readings. The 83 and 5Y3 military WGTB rectifier tubes were replaced with good used tubes with balanced sides. The previous owner built it himself and the assembly notes are included(with his handwritten checkmarks for each step completed) I plugged it in and did the line test as explained in the manual; nothing happened: no lighting up. Although not tested, pics show testing a 12AX7& the shorts light working when it should, the inside is very good condition, outside is a bit tatty& frayed but still solid. There is some rust on the outside of the metal case and on the handle as indicated in the picture. The control panel is very clean. All knobs are original and meter is fine. Tube setup book is included and stores in the cover. I opened up tester to check condition of inside for rust etc. and it was clean with absolutely no signs of liquid or spills of any kind. Tested the 12AU7 and it's good on both sides. Unit was probably serviced in the past as it has a modern electrolytic capacitor installed in the circuit. I tested several tubes against my Hickok 533a and results were similar. A very clean example of a one of the better tube testers out there. TV-7A/U Military Tube Tester with Digital Meter Serviced & Calibrated Dan Nelson
Military TV-7A/U tube tester. The tester was fully serviced and calibrated by Dan Nelson in March 2014 and has been an excellent tester but I have 2 of them and only need 1 so I am selling this one. I had the didital meter installed for better accuracy and took photos of the invoice from Dan so you can zoom in and see for yourself what was done and the digital meter is by far the best way to go on these testers and I love it and as you can see it was not cheap but well worth the money. The switch& socket panel is in excellent shape with very minimal to no wear and the outer case is better than most. Also it has been upgraded to the 3 prong grounded power cord for safety. It is missing the tube test data book. The rings for the book and the adapters for the odd ball tubes that I have never needed anyway so I removed them so they were out ... moreof the way and now cant find where I put them and you are better of to get the latest updated copy of the test data from here on Ebay anyway as it is much easier to read and has more data and they are cheap.
