VINTAGE JACKSON MODEL 435A TUBE TESTER
Very nice early tube tester Jackson model 435A. It has a beautiful huge neon lamp for the short test. And utilizes an O1A as a rectifier. It has the tube chart fixed on the inside of the lid. The case is not in good shape and one of the hinges is falling off, but the chassis is in very nice condition, please, see pictures. The panel is very sturdy and the inside looks original and untouched, so it should be easy to repair/calibrate. I tested some known O1As and the indication is lower than it should, the needle barely moved for a weak O1A and moved halfway inside the"bad' side of the scale for a good tube. I also could not adjust the line voltage to 100% please see picture. So the good news is that the meter and the transformer must be good, but it will need calibration. I'd replace all capacitors with new ones as a start. I ... morehave not tested any of the VOM functions, but if the meter is good, it should be easy to repair if those functions do not work. Stark 9-66A dynamic mutual conductance tube tester in great working condition. Tube compliment are 5Y3 tube and 83 tube. I’ve used this unit to this day, it’s one of four of the same model that are going to auction. The 9-66A is licensed under the Hickok patent to be made in Canada. The 9-66A pretty closely resembles the same unit as the Hickok 533-A and the Hickok 750, seems the only difference is the face plates have different punch out patterns for the layout of the control knobs. the serial# is 5471. shipping weight is 22 lbs and come with photocopied manual and original‘additional tube data’ booklet. Up for sale is a vintage Seco Model 1100 Tube Tester with lighted RCA sign. It was a store display model and is quite large with many differ It appears to be in good condition. Tube tester is being sold in"as is" untested" condition. The back features a scroll featuring the different model tubes and settings for testing. The plastic light cover has some crackling/cracks on the it due to age(please see all pictures for any condition issues) But other wear is fairly minor, and par for the course when dealing with vintage items. This is a must have for any collector of vintage radio/tv equipment. If one could test all features, it could potentially be used to test and repair old tv and radio tubes. Vintage Hand Made? Ham Radio/Tube Tester Apparatus Electrical Thing-A-Ma-Bob
I do not know what this actually is but it works. It appears to be some type of tester and has places to hook wires too. It also appears to have been hand built and has two copies of the specifications inside the case. It is 115V and has a ham radio call sign on it(which is why I think it may be somehow related to that field) but for now. I'll call it a thing-a-ma-bob. All of the switches seem to work and all of the lights light up and flash. The case is old and the latches have to worked manually but it closes well and does latch. It measures 14" long x 9 1/2" wide x 5 1/4" tall. Please feel free to enlighten me if you know what this is and does. Ultra Rare 1935 Precision Apparatus Electronometer 500 Tube Tester w NE-31 Neon
If you collect early tube testers. Here's one that you can actually use today. It's a Precision Apparatus Co. model 500. I tested it with a 27 tube and you can see it working in the pictures. Since this is a directly heated tube, the number four switch(in shorts test mode) lights up the NE-31 neon bulb. The tube tests good, as you can see. This uses toggle switches exclusively which is really unusual. Please check the pictures for the cosmetics. The front panel shows it age as you can see. The case has veneer missing in a couple of places. Now for the extras- this comes with the main data sheet and also quick instructions. It also comes with a supplement from Precision dated 1942 which explains that they can't get the parts to"upgrade" older testers(like the 500) to handle new types of tubes. They discuss a couple of ... moreadapters that were available before WWII. And suggest people ask their dealer is they might still have one in stock somewhere. This document also contains settings for more tubes. It is very fragile and some sheets are torn as you can see. But that's not all with the extras. Remember those two adapters that couldn't be found in 1942? Well. They are here. One looks homebrew but the other one doesn't. Note the very low serial number on the nameplate. This has to be one of the earliest Precision products around.

Here is a fully working. Calibrated and tested SICO Model 85 dynamic tube tester. It comes complete with a copy of the documentation set. The documentation set includes instructions, schematic and tube test charts for the Model 85 Tube Tester. The instrument itself is in very good condition and works very well. All switches are very good. The sockets are nice and tight, and the meter is smooth and repeatable, but does have some checking in the plastic meter window. This one is in good condition. The only real defects I see are near one of the ends- there are a couple tears in the data for 12AT6(it's the filament voltage so you know that anyway) and OY4 ballast tube- I penciled it in. The edges near that same end are a little raggedy in some places(see the first photo) but that shouldn't affect operation. There are places that have yellowed with age more than others and a few places it looks to have been folded. But again they shouldn't be any issue to use or legibility. This is an EMC 215 tube tester. I tested a 6SN7. 7868, and KT88 tube and it worked. This tester will test 7, 9, and 10 pin miniature, octal, loctal, and 9, 12 pin compactron, and nuvistor tubes. There is a chunk missing from the Bakelite case on the bottom right corner. Also part of the plate cap plastic is broken. The battery holder is missing from the inside of the case. Batteries are not required to test tubes. If you ever want to test transistors you will have to add a dual“C” size battery holder. The wires are in there(one black and one red) and could be easily be connected to the battery holder. I doubt anyone would want to test transistors with this device. This Accurate Instrument tube tester was made around 1970. It has a row of pin straighteners across the top and can test 14 different tube types. It is also capable of testing TV tubes. It is in very good overall condition and does work. It doesn't have the manual so I placed a tube in a socket and just set all the knobs at a low setting. I have a tv10a/u I am selling as is for parts or repair.This tester seems to measure ok as I tested a good and bad tube with it but the left side hinge has broken or rusted off so I am selling this tester as is because I do not know when it was last calibrated or anything and do not want to take a chance on my perfect feedback so I say sold as is for parts and it will come with a printed manual.FREE SHIPPING IN THE LOWER 48 STATES
