Triplett Model 630-A Volt Meter with POS. & NEG. Cables
One old TRIPLETT 630-A Volt-Ohm Meter. This I think was the model that started it all. For Fluke and all the other current small VOM's. I have no idea how old it is. It's in pretty good condition, works fine, and is sold as is, no returns. It takes an expensive battery to operate the OHMS mode, so I never went there. Sales in USA only, prefer Paypal. I will ship to within the USA by USPS flat fee anywhere for $12.00 and I leave good feedback to all buyers. I loved this meter but I am selling out my whole shop. This item is a Vintage Triplett Master Unit Test Set. This is from circa 1934. There are 4 testers in the set. Model 1200 volt/ohm/ meter. A model 1210 tube tester. A model 1220 free point tester. A model 1230 direct reading all wave generator. These testers are fit into one black carrying case. There are separate testing pieces as shown in the photos. This item is used and untested. Triplett 310 with Amp Meter attachment
You are bidding on a Triplett model 310 type 5 hand held VOM. This meter also comes with a clamp-on Ammeter attachment model 10-c type 3. It also has a leather carrying case. 2 leads( the red one has a small crack on the insulation near the tip) and complete instruction manuals. The meter takes a Buss type glass fuse which need to be replaced. The 1.5 v and 15 v batteries are included but should be renewed. The meter will check AC/DC voltage up to 1200 volts and also resistance and mili-amps. The clamp style ammeter adapter will check amperage up to 300 amperes.

VINTAGE ~1960 TRIPLETT MODEL 310 VOM ORIG CASE & BOX, DCV WORKS! NEEDS BATTERIES
This is a very nice vintage early‘60s“TRIPLETT MODEL 310” volt-ohm meter that was in full working condition several years ago. DC Volts function is still working when tested with a 1.5VDC battery(see photos) But it needs replacement test leads with correct jack-ends and new internal batteries to check full functionality of the instrument. Serial# 29426. Details: Original test leads got pitched or lost( So a 2 nd set of probes w/o the correct meter-end jacks(see photos) were stripped and inserted into the“Common” VOM” jacks to check operation. I tested DC Volts with a 1.5VDC battery and the readings were correct on 2 scales(3 DCV& 12 DCV- see photos) Plastic case has no cracks that I can see– very nice condition· Original Leather“GENUINE TOP GRAIN COWHIDE MADE IN U.S.A. optional case is in EXCELLENT condition· Original box is ... morein very good condition(see photos) A service record document and a sticker inside the box indicate it’s at least 51 years old(1962) Meter is easy to read and needle still sweeps smoothly. Shows signs of use and wear as expected for its age. Visible components from the back appear to be in very good shape(see photos) Appears to be all-original components and hardware· The white common lead wire solder joint was broken to the“+” contact(upper left corner where 15V& 1.5V batteries have a common terminal– see photo) I stripped that wire and temporarily secured it to the spring steel contact point– but could not get a continuity reading. Issues: Batteries dead? probably. Other issues– I don’t know? This instrument was used regularly and with a new set of lead wires and batteries it will probably return to its’ original full working condition. It’s a very nice. This meter has a few scratches and marks and measures approximately 4 inches wide x 2-5/8 inches high. It required a 2-1/8” diameter hole for mounting. It comes with rear mounting and terminal nuts. But it is otherwise undamaged. All four screws that hold the faceplate on are missing. For more information on the cosmetic condition please refer to the pictures below. We used a D battery(not included) and leads(also not included) from another Multimeter. Then tested the Multimeter using a 9V battery. We could not get the needle to move. With this test. Specifications and condition: This is a fully functional and guarenteed working awesome Triplett Analog Multimeter, I have had this for many years and have used it from time to time with no problems. I guarantee it will work for you or your money back. This meter works on all scales with exception to the Resistance scale on the 100K setting. This meter has an internal 30V battery which currently has 22VDC across it now. It shows some aging with signs of acid on it but it is working so I did not remove it but it should probably be replaced. The picture shows the 1.5VDC D cell removed but needs to be in for the ... moreresistance measurements to work. It does not need to be in for the voltage scales to work right. It is accurate on the resistance scale once zero-ed with the adjuster knobbie. I will ship this with the D cell removed. You can put your own D cell in or if yo beg. I'll put mine in the box. Click on the pictures to ENLARGE VINTAGE TRIPLETT 630 TYPE 4 VOM MULTIMETER with CARRYING CASE. Up for bid is a Triplett 630 VOM/MULTIMETER with the Triplett carrying case. The hold down strap in the case is present. But the snap is missing. I did test it on DC volts by measuring a variable output of a DC supply. Meter worked on all DC scales. I am able to measure AC shop voltage. One battery for resistance is not up to proper level. So OHM cannot be tested. The 30 volt battery is only at 26.7 VDC. There are NO METER LEADS or manuals. Cosmetically it has the usage marks. There is a cosmetic defect upper left corner. Selling as described above with limited testing. TRIPLETT MODEL 630 ORIGINAL 1949 VOLT-OHM-MILLIAMMETER
Here is a meter made around 1949 and is the original of the many Triplett 630s in the series. No suffix, not type 1,2, etc. This meter has had a good life by all indications. The case is free of any chips or cracks. The leather handle is in good shape but for a few slight surface flaws, and the movement, contacts, and controls work properly and are free of intermittents. So it's clearly been used but well taken care of. I'm not a calibration lab but I have tested every range and all readings look reasonable. Sadly. The Red Dot lifetime guarantee applies only to the original owner, I checked: Batteries and test leads are not included.
