Hello This bid is for a MSA Evolution 4000 thermal imaging camera. This thermal imager will turn on and work but it registers the batteries as being low and the low battery warning continues to flash. Two used batteries are included. The lower battery compartment/ case is cracked in multiple places(see pics) We have been using it like this for about 2-3 years using duct tape to hold the cracks together and it worked great. Large Long FL Germanium Mid Wave Thermal Infrared Imager Lens Telescope Optic
My loss is your gain. Someone sold this to me as a long wave thermal telescope. But they were wrong, it is a MID wave thermal camera lens. This is a large thermal telescopic lens designed for MIDDLE wave 3-5um thermal IR imagers. Since all my current themal camera units are long wave, I cannot use it since the mid wave IR coatings are mirror like at long wave 7-12um wavelengths. It is 2-1/4 in the input side, and about 1-1/2 inch on the output side facing the FPA. The overall length of the lens tube is about 6 inches. The germanium content of the lens alone is worth the starting price. If you can use it, all the better! This item is extremely rare and esoteric, I have lots of lasers and other unique stuff for sale this week.

This item is a small silicon and sapphire aspheric detector lens. It is made of silicon with a sapphire optical element as well. It is made for either a thermal imager or some sort of near/mid IR detector. The focal length appears to be about 1cm and the lens diameter is about 13mm. The lens makes an image that is visible on my night vision intensifier tubes. But will not make an image visible on normal CCD imge chips. Since part of it silicon it will cut off wavelengths shorter than about 1.3um making it quite useful as a detection lens for erbium glass 1.5um and other longer wavelength lasers. Because I am unable to test them all thoroughly. I have about 80 of these and have gotten a good portion of those to power up and show an image, but it takes some tinkering, and I do not want to guarantee any level of functionality. My personal imager took about 5 minutes, to hook up battery pack purchased on ebay. All units will NOT include a battery. I have battery caddy specs and model, but they are not made anymore. More reliable and more attainable protected Lithium Ion(Li-Ion) battery. The 2600mA/ HR battery stays in the handle when charging. A 2.0 amp Li-Ion smart charger is included. The camera will run for 3 hours and 40 minutes on a full charge. There are a couple of minor stress cracks in the handle. These have no effect on the handle strength. The handle is rock solid. MSA Evolution 4000 thermal imager. 320x240 microbolometer. 5 diagonal LCD view screen. Unit is in used condition but works well. I purchased 2 new 7.2v NIMH batteries rated at 3700mah and wired them in parallel for longer runtime. The combination works very well. I will include a charger that works with the two batteries. The batteries and charger have Dean's style connectors so the batteries will need to be unplugged from the imager for charging as shown in the pictures.
