Red V+28 to +32V(A bit higher to 38V is fine, but lower than 28V is NOT OK! Bare wire 0V, Orange wire AM modulation(28-32V+) Output is through the capacitor tied to the gold thing. Here I have a classic HF amp I believe it is for 10 meters"The Gold Ranger" by a company called"Linear Unlimited" who I was told made this amp in the late 1970's to early 1980's. The ham I bought it from showed me that it was working. The pilot light comes on, the input was given around 7 or 8 watts and the output was around 40 to 50 watts. Now, I have tried to find specs on this unit after purchase by me but I did not find very much so if you are an experienced techie you may know this unit. It is in fair to good cosmetic condition due to it's age. The unit has a power cord attached with a fuse. This I was told is a classic amp. Broadband 40-54 mhz Class C RF Power Amplifier with Heat Sink 120 watts
This Item is a Class C Power Amplifier and heat sink removed from a 110 watt 42-50mhz commercial FM two-way radio. I have tested the radios at up to 54mhz. Which is the top end of the 6 meter Ham band, and they worked at full power with out being modified. The specs on the amplifier goes to 125 watts in the manual. The input power to the board is listed as being 1 to 2.5 watts for full power output. We tested one and with 1 watt input we measured 119 watts output at 49.5mhz. With 2.5 watts we measured 167 watts. I would not want to run it at that level because of the heat. A CD with a PDF of the service manual of the radio will be provided. It has the schematic and parts list. The amp needs 12 to 15 volts DC at some where over 15 amps for full power. Which, by the way, you might need a fan on it to run full power. A military built filament transformer that supplies 5 volts@13 amps and 6.3 volts@10 amps is a real nice transformer. There is a multitude of other good parts in it.
